free dining 2008

I just booked a 3night stay at por for august 24,25,26th and just heard that the free dining offer for bounceback was august 3oth on. I was really hoping that i could take advantage of the free dining while there. Does anyone know if in the past the free dining time period is always what they offer on the bounceback or can it be different? thanks

We were there last month and I had found out about this BB offer
on the Dis before we left so I was looking for it.
I wasn't sure if they would offer it to us but they did.
The CM talked to us about it and was suppose to include the
information in our package but forgot to put it in so I went back up
to the Registration desk and asked for it, no problem.
The dates they gave me for FD was to start on Aug. 30th and go
through September. The time we had to book our vacation was
while we were still checked in to the resort and we had to put a
$200.00 depost down and pick a resort.
I guess Disney will see how successful the BB offer is and then
decide to offer to the public later.
We were so excited to be offered the BB and snatched it up.
We truely had a wonderful stay and loved the FD.
We were able to eat at so many places we had never tried before.
I know the offer has changed dates each year and I think that the UK
even was offered FD for a longer time than US.

One other question...on the deluxe plan it says that u get 3 meals b,l,d how many is counter service and how many are table service? Thanksweighing my options if free doesn't happen while we are there.

The Deluxe Dining Plan provides three meal credits per person, per night. You can use them however you want (although using them for all counter service meals is a waste of money). See the 2008 Dining Plan 'sticky' or disneyworld.com for more information.

In past years, the BB has been extended to the public later the next year. However, with the changes in the DDP I was told by the CM it might not be extended. But who knows... The dates seem to be set, though.
