They say hope dies last & I'm beginning to lost hope that we will see free dinning in SEP based on this news. :sad1:

--update---
That first post was based on the news of the Oct 2 deadline of the kids stay free.
But in reading the rumor of the 02 May 10 of possible open public days for the free dinning well all is looking up. =)

Don Disney I hope so & in part that is why I stop reading these post cause I keep getting my hopes up and then nothing & I'm tired of this roller coaster ride I'm on.

My brother-in-law & sister yesterday finally gave up and have booked a vacation to universal studio for SEP. They said they are gonna see Harry Potter instead and forget Mickey.

I think we will see a lot of that...US is offering some great discounts for everyone for that time of year(Sept) and Disney is only offering one for KIDS under 9.

I've been hearing May 3rd at the golden date! The sooner the better for me! Crossing my fingers that its true!

I just "booked" a 5 night US vacation at Portafino Bay,and it was $1500 and some odd dollars-"booked" a 10 night Disney with 10 day Hoppers for $1715 with the "Kids Stay/Play Free". US also is charging $15/day parking at the hotel!!! What kind of deal are others getting-the one I "booked" is pretty lousy-What am I doing wrong?:confused3 The US "deal"came with 4 day/1park tickets-Pretty Lousy to me!!!!

I booked the club level at the Royal Pacific for 6 nights then I found out I had the 20/30/40 pin (I inquired via phone because of this site) and I booked the Beach Club villas for less money. I still plan to go to Universal for a day to see Potter but the new discounts coming out from Disney are a better value, especially for those traveling on a plane.

I'm paying $131 per night for my Royal Pacific resort reservation (5 nights) -- less than a Disney mod for a Deluxe level hotel. Try switching your ressie to Royal Pacific if you want something cheaper at Universal - that should bump your nightly rate down at least $30/night!

What level of Disney resort are you comparing it to? I agree that a Universal hotel, even with a deal, is still considerably more than staying at a Disney value, but that's like comparing apples to oranges.

Also, most hotels charge for parking, Disney just includes it in the standard room fares and divides it amongst all guests so everybody has to pay more, regardless of whether they have a car or not.

Can someone help me out here?

I do see on the Disney site where the kids stay & play free has been extended but I don't see where it mentions free quick dining for kids as well? Am I missing something?

I didn't read all the responses so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

This would be a great savings for us considering I have 3 kids between 3 & 9 :)

You have to have a DVisa and it is on www.disneyrewards.com site

Yeah I figured it out! You just add the dining and it puts the kids free!!!

I wish I could get a Disney Visa, but it's not available to Canadians :(

I am all switched over now and saved $600.00

Congrats!!! That is great

How are you getting $131 per night at Royal Pacific? When are you going? When I've looked into possibly staying there for our trip in August it gives me a price of $224 per night. That's much more than a moderate or even some deluxes with my pin code. What am I missing?:confused3

"More you stay the more you save" It is a promotion for US.

The Stay More Save More rate, or something like that, quoted me $140/night for HRH in September and early October, for 5 nights. It was more expensive for three nights, and less expensive for seven. I thought that sounded like a pretty good rate.

Just want to point out that the information in the first post that supposedly comes from MouseSavers.com is NOT correct and has been substantially changed from what is on my site.

The Disney Visa Kids Stay, Play and Dine offer has NOT, to the best of my knowledge, been extended to the public. The public offer is "Kids Stay and Play" and does not include dining.

I've sent the OP a PM asking him or her to fix this. In the meantime, I didn't want anyone to be confused.

Thanks! I agree that's a good rate. :thumbsup2 I only need 3 nights though so $224 is just way too much. We're staying at POR currently for 3 nights and with my pin code I'm currently paying about $140 per night. I thought I was missing something. We want to visit and see HP but I don't want to be at a Universal hotel the whole time. Thanks for the help. :goodvibes

The deal at Universal right now is the longer you stay, the more you save. So, by staying 5 nights, we're essentially getting two free since they bump the rate down to $131/night. We'll be there September 23-28. When you price online, make sure the Stay More Save More rate comes up - if not, the discount is already fully booked up for that time period. The Universal hotels aren't cheap if you're only staying a night or two, but the longer you're there the better deals you can get!

What nights are you trying for?

Edited: Just read your post above! At three nights it's not cheap, but keep watching for different deals that come out from time to time. We've got Royal Pacific booked for 3 nights in June (just in case HP soft opens by then!) at $125 or something/night which is an annual pass pincode rate.

Yeah thanks for the info.! We need only 3 nights 8/5-8/8. I will keep my eyes open for any deals. We'd like to stay at Universal for the HP days of our vacation but not for $224 a night. I like your $125 deal. :woohoo: Hope HP does a soft opening for you. I'm soo excited for HP. Have Fun!
