Hi
Could anyone answer a quick question please? My family and i want to go to Disney world in may 2018. Am I right in thinking that if and when the free DDP is released in April it won't cover holidays in may? Not wanting to get my hopes up!! Thank you

Last year, free dining was blacked out March 30 through April 16

so May *should* be eligible for free dining. But don't take that for granted.

Free Dining is blocked out for UK guests around 12 days before Easter, and 7 days after. However, if you arrive only 24 hours before the block out begins, you'll get it for the full 14 days (including all the blocked out dates!).

So the April blockout depends entirely on arrival date based on Easter.

My group has it this year - and we're arriving on April 25th.

In 2016 my family had it - and we arrived April 12th.

i didn't realize the UK free dining was all year...
this is the first year we're doing the UK free dining package..
that is, i reserved it last year and we're going this august (2017)..
i have to admit i'm a bit nervous as this is the first time...and also the first time i'm using MDE and FP+

i hope it all runs smoothly!!! :)

We have had it for the last 2 years (in Feb) and it has worked brilliantly, everything I had booked was there and all the fast passes worked without a hitch. Book what you think you want as soon as you can, it is easy to change if you want to and any problems just give them a ring, they are very helpful.

Enjoy your holiday, ours was awesome. Just waiting for free dining to (hopefully) come out for 2018 so we can book for next year!

i have all our ADRs reserved (that was a few weeks ago)..
FP+ is next up....at 60 days, so i guess that will be at the beginning of june..
i need to research the subject to figure out the correct FP strategy...

I haven't herd any rumors yet that free dining will return. Reading this are we all hopeful it will?

We found we got the most rides in by making sure we were at the parks for before rope drop and getting rides in before the park got busier. Then used the fast passes for later in the morning- works even better if there is a morning magic hour. Means getting up early but we prefer this, and it is easy the first couple of days due to the time difference.
