We've had a Disney Visa for several years and if they offer Free DDP early to Disney Visa holders we will probably take them up on it. However, we were hoping to use up the Disney Rewards credits we've earned on the card.
Based on the past, will we have to charge the entire package on our Disney Visa to book early, or can some minimum be charged to the Visa and the rest paid for with Reward points?

Thanks!
Jill

200.00 deposit on visa and then rest with reward points is how we did it in Dec.HAVE FUN...

Gotcha, Thanks! Now I'll be prepared when the time to make the call comes (I sure hope that time comes!!!)

Its just a regular Visa card (I think issued by Citibank). However the "rewards" are that you get 1% of purchases in Disney Dollars. Those are then transferred by a quick phone call onto a Rewards card which you can us throughout the parks, to get tickets online, make a reservation, etc. The 1% probably isn't the best you can do for a rewards card, but if your goal is to save for a Disney vacation it can be very helpful.
My husband owns a business so we put everything on the card, pay it off every month, but now have well over $1,000 to use for just about anything Disney.

The Disney Visa Card is issued by Chase (since they acquired Bank One who formerly issued the card).

Its also why the ATMs in the parks are Chase ATMs.

Ironically, Chase also issues the Universal Visa Card and hence their are Chase ATMs @ Universal in Florida.

Which is ironic since Chase has very few other ATMs in the state of Florida since they have very few branches in the state. Chase does have a deal with Walgreens in Florida where most of their stores in the Orlando area also have Chase ATMs.

Thanks for the heads up! I never even thought about this! I've been saving disney gift cards up to pay for our trip. Do you think I'll be able to pay the $200 on my disney visa and the rest with gift cards? I think that would work, right?

We are planning a family reunion for November (also to take my SIL who has cancer). We usually stay at the Shades of Green, but were contemplating staying at at wdw resort to take advantage of the ddp this time. Tell me more about this Free DDP and the Disney Visa (I am a card holder, too)

Please help me!

Last year Disney World offered the DDP free during part of August and all of September. (hurricane season and a slow time of year for them historically) Disney Visa card holders were offered the deal just a few days before the general public. I am sure they wouldn't ever offer it in November as that is a busier time of year for them. Hope that helps.

Last year I was just goofing off on the Chase website and it was under current Disney offers. I think that page malfunctioning now and there is a new web address. I'm not sure if I can post the link, or not? :confused3

We have a Disney Visa. How will we be notified if free DDP is being offered before the public?

I just went back and checked my emails. Last year I received an email from chase on the 31st of march to book the package before it was offered to the general public on the 4th of April.
