Free DDP Booking SUCCESS!!? - Post 'Em Here!

Has anyone booked since the rush on Thursday? Whats left, is there anything left? A group of my girlfriends are planning on going but we decided to contact the travel agent who did it for us last year and I'm not sure whether its been booked yet. I wondering if one didn't call until Monday would they still have value rooms left?

I booked during the mad rush on Thursday and awas only able to get All Start Sports. I was very disappointed after finding out the pool was going to be closed during our stay.

I checked online today and was able to get POP Booked it right away and called back to cancel All Star Sport.

Going 08/26 - 08/31 I'll keep calling to see if I can add an additional 2 days at the end, if not, I'm happy with the 5 nights.

Last year, I booked ASMo for free dining; a few months later, they closed the pool. I was able to rebook at POR WITH free dining by calling the reservations line. The CM had to get approval from somebody to do it, but I was NOT happy when I found out the ASMo pool was under rehab. If you can afford it, you might want to do that in a few weeks when things die down -- call and try to get them to let you switch by telling them you didn't know the pool was going to be closed.

They told you wrong. You can book all of your nights on one ressie with free dining.

I booked ASsp with the free dining for September 12-18. I thought I was going to miss out because the Values were going fast. But the luck of the draw ASsp was still open(but I wanted POP) so i snapped it up quick so I wouldnt have to wait another year to have that first ever WDW trip! Alot of our decision to go was relying on if free dining would be coming and I am SO glad it did! I am going to call back after things die down and see if anyone canceled POP for that week..if they did.. I am switching to POP if at all possible. Not that I wouldn't settle for ASsp..I am happy to be going period...but I am not a big sports fan and I LOVE the POP's theming.

Booked ASMu for September 8-15 on Thursday through TA. It was my third choice, but I just feel lucky to have gotten in on the promo at all conciderin how fast they are selling.Soooo excited to be going for the second year in a row! This will officially be my 5th Disney trip, boyfriend's second

Our friends called on Friday morning. They had an existing ressie for Standard room at AKL 9/22-9/29. Well apparently standard rooms with free dining at AKL were sold out, so they had to switch to savannah view with free dining...

Well the travel agent at dreamsunlimited got us 3 rooms at AS Music for 9/4-9/7. It will be a fun long weekend with the girls! So there is still limited availability out there for the values!

We changed our room only resies to MYW package with FD for POP 9/4-9/8. I guess buying one day pass for Free Dining is worth it!

Hey all!
I had ASMu on courtesy hold for the FDDP, but I got online and found a preferred room at ASMo for 9-22 thru 9-28, so I booked online, even though I wanted 9-21. I love ASMo, but Pop was my first choice. I just checked the WDW site and they had a standard room, 9-21 thru 9-28!! I just called WDTC and had our reservation changed! WAHOOO!!! I'm so happy!! I got the resort I wanted and the dates I wanted...Now I just need September to hurry up and get here!!

GREAT news I just HAD to share!!!

My boys' school will be changing their attendance policy for next year (during free dining) and they will be allowed (although not encouraged ) to take up to 10 continuous days off of school for approved requests. Well, I spoke to the principal and told him of our upcoming trip and how we would LOVE to go for a full 14 days if possible. The principal was SO awesome, he marked the calendar, with his approval, and is going to work with us to get some homework for the boys to do to keep up with the class (although the boys are less than thrilled with this prospect).

So, we just changed our trip from 9/22-10/2 TO 9/22-10/6/07!!

FOURTEEN DAYS OF DISNEY and I am so ultra excited I just had to share!! Luckily, the cm said that this addition of days on the end of our existing POP reservation were available, she told me nothing was available prior

In any event, this will be our longest WDW vacation and I just can't wait!!

ps..my children do very well in school and are elementary level, so I don't feel one iota of guilt for taking them out. However, as they get older, we may not be able to do this..but for now..WOOT WOOT!! We're goin!!

Education is very important to me BUT even I feel it is all according the child if they can 'afford' to miss a few days. My oldest grandson can ill afford to miss one class but his youngest brother is a self starter and is very capable of keeping up.

I am glad that your circumstances allow for this special family time together. THAT is very important also. Making memories!!
