Free child ticket w/ purchase- is it a 2 day ticket?

Well, DH said go ahead and buy tickets so I did!! That means we are definately going!!!!! Yeah!! :cool1:

Guess I need to change my ticker--no POLY--we will be going to US/IOA for 1/3 of the price. Maybe we'll get to do Sea World or something else while in Orlando. Any other "hidden" gems we should know about??

Got my tickets today! I ordered 3 adult/3 (free) children.
We are:
Mom Adult #1
Dad Adult #2
DS 11 Adult #3
DS 9 Child #1
DD 6 Child #2

I went ahead and ordered the extra ticket hoping maybe by November we can round up enough $$ to take my D Niece 8 or Maybe my father (if he feels up to it).
Anyway...
Point is--all tickets are identical as posted/reported by many others! Really is a fantastic DEAL!!

Thats great wright1baby. Do the back of the tickets actually say Adult and Child or are they all Adults?

Thanks

They do not say adult or child on any on them. They are all identical with the terms of universal and such preprinted on them.

I wonder if you buy one get one free and but you pick up at the Kiosk, would it then print out 2 adults, one child?
Anyway, to avoid any problems, I ordered mine and had them mailed.
They do not refer to adult or child and there is no expiration date. :woohoo:

My tickets came today and I am so excited now, I did grab last years tickets I have saved and compared them they look the same as last years. buying off the universal site saved me almost $200. over what AAA was quoting me with their discount. the money I saved I can eat a meal at forest grumps when it opens up. wow

i'm still waiting for my tickets i ordered on line.

over 2 weeks ago i ordered them but requested kiosk pick up.
2 days after that, i called universal ticket sale to change it to fed ex.
they charged my cc and said i would have them within 3 days.

nothing yet. i called again this morning and was told the order went thru but a glitch.......meaning, no tickets on the way.

had to charge again on the cc and was told if i don't have them by thursday, to call special services. one charge already went through now another might go through for the very same thing.

i was told if i am double billed (which i know will happen) to call for a credit.
they said i had to wait 48 hours on todays' billing before i called again to correct the billing situation.

??????
i don't get it.
the charges already went thru once..........i just want my tickets so i am playing the game. once they come, then i will straighten this all out.

macraven
the exact same thing happened to me. I ordered the tickets and when I didn't receive them I called (was given the run around at first)

Not sure what the problem was but they charged me, then refunded me, and never sent the tickets. When I called I was charged again and they finally arrived. Keep an eye on your credit card bill.

maps, in all the years i have ordered on line, this is the first time i have encountered this issue.

you bet i will check on the charges on my cc.
i have no second thoughts that i won't be credited if i am double billed.

i was double billed at hrh twice and they took it off. due the aggravation, they gave me a comp ticket for the park. it wasn't necessary as i had a pass and didn't need the comp ticket. i still have it, never used it.

i asked for a phone number to call if i find out i was overcharged and they gave it to me. just wanted it in case i needed it.

maps, how long did it take to resolve your situation?

Has anyone used the free child ticket as an adult one, since it doesn't say child on the back of the ticket? This would save my family of six a little money. Thanks.

What if say... you are a party of 3 adults and 3 children, 1 adult and 3 children go in the park earlier and the 2 adults stay behind and go to the parks later but are refused entry because they are supposedly the child tickets but don't say so on the back. The 2 adults are told to go to guest services but the one who bought the tickets is in the park and has no way to contact them?? :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

 or maybe :rolleyes2
they dont have any smilies with someone tearing their hair out

There are no child's tickets and no adult tickets on the bonus pass. They are all the same. I'm assuming this is hypothetical and not just a question you are asking to see if you can cheat the system. If they are your tickets, you should be able to answer the simple questions about who purchased them and when.

i take it you want to pay as little as possible for the tickets as in the buy one adult, get one child ticket free.

i am sure people have used the tickets this way, but it is dishonest.

with the 99$ special that is going on, that is very cheap.
but, that is an alternative way to make your trip more affordable.

universal wants families in their parks. i would think that is why they have the special going on for children. i would hate to see this great promo dissolved due to abuse.

if you want a better bargain for all adults, i am sure new promos will be coming up. the last few years i hooked on to a great one that included the bonus coupons. if that one comes back, take that special. with the money you spend on tickets you will make back with the discounts coupons on food and merch.

new promos usually pop up by early spring, or they have in the past few years.

Phantom, we are going in Feb and I originally purchased the adult tickets with the kids free which we now know is all adults. I then got the RPR DEAL WITH 4 TICKETS INCLUDED. I then sold our other tickets to our neighbors who will be going without us. If I purchased them will they have a problem? I will not be there.

i am not phamton but from what i have read and know, the neighbors would have a problem if the passes don't scan correctly.

if there is an issue with the pass and it doesn't scan, you need to go to the guest services.

at g.s. you would have to show identification and cc (method of payment) to have the tickets reprinted

if you can not prove you are the owner of the passes, universal keeps them.

guest services scans the tickets to obtain info on date purchased, purchaser name, cc info, the guest that needs assistance with the passes that are not scanning correctly would not have the 411 on you who purchased the tickets.

crosing my fingers that those tickets that you sold do scan correctly and it does not become an issue.

more than likely there won't be an issue. i can see why you sold them since you bought a different package at universal.

i have only bought my tickets from universal. have not had any problems with the tickets not scanning correctly

twin43, I just sent you a private message. Macraven is absolutely correct. As long as they scan OK, there won't be a problem.

Sorry, I have one last question about these tickets:
Phamtom, Macraven, or anybody knows if these tickets can be upgraded to a annual pass or power pass?
I want to upgrade to power pass, and if I can do that for all my 6 tickets or only for the ones that says 99.00 not the free ones? I mean one time I tried upgrading my 5 universal credit card 2 days universal park tickets to a power pass and the cashier said that the free one (promotion buy 4 get one free) could NOT be upgraded to a power pass!
Anybody knows?
Thanks!

I got 2 adult 2 kids tickets - they don't *say* children tickets on them, but when I called the # on the back the rep told me which ones were the childrens' passes. So these don't come up any different than regular passes when they're scanned at entry? Can I pay to upgrade them to junior passes - for my 10 and 12 year old? I don't want to be embarrassed at the gate!

i called the other day as i am interested in upgrading my 5 day pass to an annual. i was told yes but to pay the difference, $80. + tax.

come to think of it, i get so many wrong answers from the phone line help, maybe i should call the park gs direct.
will let you know what i find out. i will call them later today.

i have always read on the threads that you can upgrade passes.

So why did they made me buy a new power pass because the one with the free value of 0.00 need it to have the same value like the other 4.
value of the master card 5 days tickets 90.00 at that time ( 2 years ago) + extra 17.00 to make the 107.00 power pass price?
I mean I think that I will have a hard time again upgrading the free ones? Anybody knows? I should had gone to a different cashier to upgrade the free promotion one? Or plan B, I should buy 6 more tickets (buy one get one free)and find the ones with the value of 99.99 and upgraded those ONLY? Thanks.
