Good morning. I just received a text from pha1226 that when she brought Nemo to LS this morning they REFUSED to give her a claim ticket. :scared1: She spoke to 4 people plus the manager and they assured her that all they need was Corbin3's name and arrival date. Corbin3 will be getting Nemo later today and I will post as soon as I hear.

When we dropped off Nemo, I asked the first person for a claim ticket. He said they don't give claim tickets for fridges. I explained that the person who left it for me the Friday before had a claim ticket and had given me the claim number. Then two female LS people said all I need is the next person's name and reservation number on the box. I explained that it was but that I still wanted a claim ticket or receipt as proof I had dropped the fridge off.

They called over another male employee who said the same thing. I repeated my request again and added that the LS employee who was there when I picked up the fridge specifically asked me if I had a claim ticket. He looked confused and they all went back into the building for a few minutes. Then a female manager came out and told me they don't give claim tickets, numbers or receipts and she didn't know who told me that. When I told her the LS employee there when I picked up the fridge on Friday told me that, she said she didn't even have anything she could give me.

I was getting a little agitated but tried to be polite but all they would tell me what the name and reservation number was all I needed. A frustrating end to an otherwise wonderful vacation.

All is well, I did finally hear from Corbin3 this morning (my phone was home and we were at church) and she does have Nemo. Said she had no problem.
 

Last Feb the fridge swap I was in went off track. I knew this in enough time to get the info of the last name it was left for . This person didn't pick it up I believe she didn't get confirmation she had it . Anyway I just gave her name and out came the fridge. So if you keep track of who had it last and who they left it for it can be found. All they asked me was name and arrival date didn't ask ressie #!!

Last year the luggage guys were even kind enough to bring the fridge to our room as we were checking in. That was a shocker.

Found out yesterday that official school policy has changed and teachers will not give the kids their school work prior to our trip so they will have to make up all the work when we get back. :headache: I plan to talk directly with their teachers to see if they will give us some of the work so they aren't so overwelmed when we get back. Either way, the kids are going.

Does the policy read that they will NOT or that they are not required? :confused3 Because if it is that they are just not required you may have less of a struggle.

It states that they are not required so I am hoping they will be able to give them some of the stuff before we go. DS is in 6th grade this year so he will have alot to make up when we get back if we can't get some early. We did ask him prior to booking if he had a problem with making up a weeks worth of work and he said no that he would rather be in Disney for his birthday then go during vacation time. We have "meet the teacher" night today so I plan to speak with each of their teachers to see what we can do. I know that 2 of DD's classmates are both going to WDW for a week in October so we will see if teacher gives them work early.
