Apps are getting a lot of attention, but wanted to point out another great deal.

:music:

Amazon MP3 has tons of free music. This link should bring you to the start of the current list...

Amazon.com: Free - Songs: MP3 Downloads

And for those looking for Christmas Music, they, too, are doing and advent calendar....

Amazon.com MP3 Downloads: 25 Days of Free - Daily Free Downloads in December

:rockband:

:sad2: after going through the whole process...only available to the US. No freebies for Canadians.

My favorite game app is called BPop. The lite version is free. I downloaded the paid version also (I think 99 cents) but frankly, the free version is the one I play all the time.

Great Game! Thanks...what is the difference in the free version and the pay version?

The free version only has 5 levels and if you quit during the game you have to start over. The pay version has (I think) 30 levels and you can save your game. There may be other differences, but that's all that I know of.

For me, 5 levels is the perfect amount of time to play, so I rarely use the other one.

Has anyone tried the new Unofficial Guide's Lines app?

http://blog.touringplans.com/2009/11/16/lines-mobile-wait-times/

It is not a real time app, but gives estimated waits though out the day. Looks like it is good for touch users without wifi in the park!

I don't have a touch yet, but I am hoping to get one this spring during the rumored release of the 4th gen with camera and video capabilities! I am studing all of your input so I will be off and running when I finally take the plunge!

ETA: It looks like it is only for iphone right now, but I wonder if you could store the webpage to read offline. Anyone with an iphone try this?

I see the DISboard application......what is it called so I can download it? I am searching and no luck. :yay:

Its not an app. My dd does this all the time. Its basically a shortcut to the dis thru safari. I dont know how she does it.. she's 9 and knows more than me apparently! :rotfl:

With the website you want open in safari on your iphone, hit the + button at the bottom of the screen. Then hit "Add to Home Screen" and then shorten the name so that it will fit under the tiny home screen icon and you are done. By hitting my DISboards icon, I open the Budget Board and am already logged in! -- Suzanne

Yes, that's exactly what I did.

A new free app I just found today is Traffic Rush, it has great reviews.

I have a recommendation for a game. It's called Ramp Champ and its kind of a skiball game where you roll a ball down a ramp and try to knock down various things like those clowsn from carnival games, etc. The game itself is free, and they also sell booster packs of additional ramps for .99. The game is a lot of fun and the graphics are great.
