I heard this morning that as soon as they announced the special everything was over loaded....I think it was a great effort on there part to get people flying ont he 11th though....

What a great idea. I'm definitely going to pay more attention to Spirit in the future.

Someone on RADP (don't know if they are also on the Dis) is flying down for one day-- doing lunch and MGM and flying back! Great idea, wish I'd thought of it. I read all the plans in the paper today for what the city was doing for 9/11 and felt depressed just reading the story. I'm all for commemoration, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit just escaping the city for the day didn't seem appealing...

I finally got on Spirit Airs website this morning after trying repeatedly yesterday and wasn't too surprised to see that ALL seats have been "sold" for Sept 11. Oh well.

I've had plans to fly on Jet Blue from JFK on Sept. 11th for about 7 motnhs now. We're paying full price, I believe, but Jet Blue is reasonable.

Some other airlines should get in on this, especially in New York! If any city should offer free flights on 9/11, it should be us.

That's great Evil Princess- I'm jealous. I didn't realize until this week how much I would like to get away on that day. Hope you have a great trip! (I've always wanted to use Jet Blue.)
