I received an email from Disney telling me that my AP was about to expire :( but that I would get a free 6 month extension :)

I still have to read the text in that miniature font, but as far as I have seen, it seems I can go to the AP desk and it will be good for another 6 months. Since my mom and brother didn't get the email, I guess it's just for the Dream AP holders.

We had a letter offering us that if we renewed our Dream Pass we would get 6 months free so it would be valid for 18 months instead of 12 months

A free 6 months is fantastic :)

I had a letter too, as our Dream passes expire at the beginning of April. We each have sponsored 3 people, so were looking forward to getting another year free anyway. Now I am wondering if we might end up with another 18 months free - surely that would be too good to be true???

I think you would be very lucky - I can hear the favourite " we cannot combine offers" ;)

Fingers crossed for you though

I got my letter through as well - but I got a free year with sponsorships for it being renewed in April (small print said it was only for those expiring in April) so I won't be able to get another 6 months....but I did get 12 so can't complain!!! :rotfl2:

Surely their computer must know you've sponsored 3 people, so why send the letter out to start with

I'm going to try anyway, nothing to lose after all!

They seem to vary the offer I got 4 months extra free in January on a Fantasy pass and they wouldn't let me combine it with sponsorship

Do you mean that they wouldn't let you have a free year as a result of the letter, and that you only got 4 months?

I still have to read the fine print, but Disney sends emails to my Yahoo-address and I can't read those at work. And for some reason, I never go online at home anymore.

Well, if I only get those 6 months free if I renew now, I'll renew now, I guess :)

You had to choose Annette.

If you are sponsored you can get an equivalent pass but the extra months apply even if you upgrade ie from Fantasy to Dream

Mine was a bit complicated as I had the old style form and could only get 4 months free with my sponsors anyway

Thanks disneyangel, I think I will take the letter along anyway, but not expect them to add any more than the year we should each get free.

Definitely worth a try. The AP office seem to have new rules every week :thumbsup2

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ;)
