Free $10 Amazon credit with $45 in Amazon gift cards

From the Terms:

In order to qualify for the promotional credit, you must: (1) be a paid or trial member of Amazon Prime (as of the day prior to your purchase of the gift cards); (2) be making your first purchase of Amazon Gift Cards with this account; (3) purchase at least $45 in select holiday Amazon.com Gift Card ("GC") multi-packs between November 1, 2014 and November 15, 2014, 11:59 PM (PT); and (4) enter the promotional code "HOLIDAYGCS" in the "Gift Cards & Promotional Codes" box when you check out.

There appear to be some bugs with this code, though. After reading this thread, I was worried mine didn't go through as it didn't show up on my invoice so I called. I was told that once they process the purchase I will receive the $10 credit in my account and an email verification. The guy told me it showed up on their records but it still makes me a tad nervous that I have no confirmation at this point.

ETA: I am a trial Prime member and the guy on the phone first told me I didn't qualify, but then when I read him the above terms and conditions, he said, "Oh yes, there it is." Not too reassuring. Anyway, if you're getting this with a trial membership, be aware that you can't use this promo the same day you sign up. You have to wait at least a day to order.

UPDATE: As soon as I finished typing the above, I went to my email and there was confirmation from the Amazon rep I'd spoken with. Yay!!

I had to do an online chat too. I have a regular Prime membership and wasn't seeing the $10 credit anywhere. Customer Service said someone in else had to apply my credit and sent me an email about it. I asked if I did everything correctly to apply the code and was eligible and she confirmed it.

Had to enter the code at least a dozen times throughout the day until it finally was accepted!

Didn't get an email confirmation that stated the $10 promotional code, but think I read that you don't receive it until 2 days after order has been placed, so I'll just wait and see.

I plan on applying all the gift cards to my Amazon account to Christmas shop with.

Call them or do the live chat. I did not have to wait long on hold. I went to the "contact us" page and checked the box about having a promotion problem and then clicked on the box for them to call me. My fingers were still on the keyboard when the phone rang and it was less than a minute before a live agent came on the line.

Just chatted. It is a no go for me. I have no recollection of ordering gift cards but the chat person says.......

This promo is for new Amazon Gift Card customers and you have ordered 2 on your account in 2011, therefore you are not eligible to receive that promo and hence why its giving you the error message.

I have never ordered gift cards, but I don't think the $10 is worth my time trying to figure it out. thanks, all, though!
