Just so everyone knows we have 2 freebie thread going again. I get so confused when that happens. But it does not take much to put me in that state of mind

This does seem to be a common occurrence, two threads each week; it is a rather juvenile/ infantile situation. Why start a “freebie” thread when you know one has already been started and then pad the posts on “freebie #2” so thread #2 is seen first???

Perhaps an agreement could be made to boycott the recurring 2nd freebie site - just a thought.

When we first started watching it- I said to DH....wait one minute! The pics I have seen of Henry VIII- I remember him being fat and yucky!

But that does not make for good TV- can you only imagine the "good" scenes with some fat ugly king- you would feel sorry for the poor girl- at least with Henry looking like he does in The Tudors, it is envy not sympathy you have for her

I would prefer the half naked Jonathan that looks nothing like Henry VIII thank you very much!

I believe he was a really "HOTTIE" before he gained the weight. That scene where he is wrestling his French "cousin", I believe that really occured. Wasn't he called the 'young lion'? Or do I have the wrong king?

Forgot to add- that I commend you for not have cable!

I WISH we can do that- but then again- what in the world would we do with ourselves if we did not have a cable remote to flip through 400 channels of crap on TV!

That would be a good idea to get rid of cable, and just buy the BB online and rent everything you want to see. Heck- you can now rent TV shows!

hmmmm- I might have to bring that one up to DH- doubt he will go for it- but it is food for thought. Our freakin' cable bill (with internet) is almost 150.00 bucks a month!

If I took Johns satilite tv from him he would be lost. He needs to watch 50 shows at once and at least two sports also

I think we are just going to have to live with it. I PMd a mod to ask her to combine the 2 threads. It is nice that everyone wants to post freebies- but we need to all be on the same page.....literally!

Let's hope that no news is good news. They sure got back to you right away when they found the tumors. Maybe they don't feel the sense of urgency they did before because the situation looks "stable".....we can hope, anyway.

Rhonda visiting tomorrow will take your mind off that for a little while. I wish I could be there to see her walking up to your house with a Care Bear, chicken soup, UK scandal rag, and whatever else basket!

Rhonda visting will be nice. It will as I call him now Warden John time to him self.

The DR said it takes 5 working days at least. So I was hoping today would be the day but John said it would not be till Tuesday. Hopefully they call and tell me all is good and I can start treatments soon and get back to normal. Well as normal as I can be

You have the right king, Henry was quite the handsome man in his youth. He was accustomed to having people shower him with high praise for his looks, stamina, hunting ability and just about everything he did whether deserved or not. He was not trained in being a king, as his older brother was going to be king, but his untimely death changed all that. Henry was then forced to marry his brother's wife - and that set the stage if you will for his unhappiness with marriage. Nothing like hand-me-downs
Being 2nd born, Henry led a very indulgent life and was coddled, and had no real responsibilities. Henry lived his life to the fullest, ate the best, drank the best, hunted frequently, and did as he pleased.

Hopefully things will work there way out on the 2 thread thing - people just need to be aware and check before starting a new thread. I don't want to start a controversy over anything and I just want to post that the mods will shut us down if we are targeting anyone and we will not be able to start ANY freebie threads, so basically if 1 is posted and it is linked, we should go with that one for the week. I know everyone just wants to get in on the deals and that is our common goal.
