Hey tinker...
You have some mail heading your way![]()
and my cat. He is pretty. You will love him.![]()
I LOVE kitties - we have 3. Daisy (she has 22 toes), Nemo (or Kiki since we found out he was really a she) and Dorothy...
Hopefully things will work there way out on the 2 thread thing - people just need to be aware and check before starting a new thread. I don't want to start a controversy over anything and I just want to post that the mods will shut us down if we are targeting anyone and we will not be able to start ANY freebie threads, so basically if 1 is posted and it is linked, we should go with that one for the week. I know everyone just wants to get in on the deals and that is our common goal.
I got some of that Dove Intense Damage Therapy shampoo and conditioner in the mail. I have not liked some of the other Dove samples I have tried and this was no different. It must just be my hair!I just LOVE the freebies thread and all the people on the freebies thread are sooooo nice.
I do not care who starts it but 2 threads is very confusingfor me. I try to find freebies that no one else has posted (that is hard to do because you all are so good at finding freebies). If I have to look at 2 threads

That being said. This is a great thread. Talking about all the freebies in your mailbox. FUN! I got a bottle of shampoo and conditioner today. yeah!
I am so glad you did it. I never like doing the test either but it makes it so worth it. Even having to go thru what I am now it is worth it to get one person to go and have a mammogram.Well, Kellie, of ALL the good influences you are on so many people, I went in to have a mammogram today. DH thanks you. I have been trying to get out of that check up each year because I felt it was not helpful. But, I have been telling DH about what Kellie has been going through and I figured I probably should just go do it, like everyone should, and face whatever may come out of it. After thinking it over, I decided it would be sooooo much better to do this and take care of anything that might be there, right away....than to find out about it after two years of something sitting in there, growing. I had lunch with DH after my appointment and, to my surprise, he asked me when they would tell me the results. My mind immediately went to thoughts of John and Kellie and I realized my irresponsibility with this part of my health doesn't just affect me. Why that didn't sink in before now, I don't know.
So, he thanks you and I thank you for your willingness to share what you are going through!![]()
I hope you two have lots of laughs tomorrow....who couldn't use a good belly laugh!![]()
I say we make April freap mammogram month. What you say freaps?
If I remember correctly, what I think will happen now is that I will get a generic letter from the radiology department within the next 10 days IF they don't find anything there. If the doctor reading the pictures sees something, they will call me and ask me to come back in for another set of photos within the next week. I had a check up last week and the doctor did not see or feel anything of concern....but you really have to wait for the pictures, I think.I am so glad you did it. I never like doing the test either but it makes it so worth it. Even having to go thru what I am now it is worth it to get one person to go and have a mammogram.
You are right it does effect the whole family. When will you hear from your DR?
You guys don't have so much fun tomorrow that you can't talk about it here!Bonsoir Freaps, a demain...
Kellie and I will report on our "first date"...
Sleep well everyone. Mtblujeans good for you for doing the mamogram thing. I still need to get my but (or b@@bs) in gear for that one...
Again...information to be filed away for future use.I agree but that is easy for me to say....I had my mammies grammed in the fall. I had a what we found out to be a benign cyst removed 2 years ago and had my follow up mammagram last year. My doctor (whom I LOVE) said that as long as that one was neg. he won't do another one for 2 years. I am 35 now and this started when I was 32 so I ended up with an early baseline. I agree that it is better to take care of a small problem than to let it grow into a big problem with more invasive and other repercussions. If YOU FEEL that it is something that need to be looked into further then PUSH your doctor into what you need to do. My primary was too laid back for my taste and did nothing to aleve my fears - 32, 2 children under 5, prime of my life, etc. - did I or did I not have a condition that was going to become something. My GYN listened to me, looked at my films, felt the lump without direction, sent me to a surgeon and all including me agreed - remove what was not there 6 months before, make sure it is nothing, put everyone at ease, and lets not let it become something more. Everything turned out benign but more than that was the piece of mind he gave me. My ex-primary did nothing to help relax the situation other than tell me "we'll keep an eye on it"![]()

Lucky for me my primary Dr is great. He would never take a wait and see stand. It was a good thing you went to you GYN and he listened. I do not understand why some DRs just brush people off.![]()
I just don't understand either. It's not like it's hurting their bottom lineMy grandmother had a lump for years that they all took a "wait & see" attitude. She just finished her last radiation treatment after a lumpectomy about 2-3 weeks ago
Maybe what was nothing became something, maybe totally unrelated but I can't help but think.
