I'm back! I'm back!!.....

Okay I hate unenployment. John has to take some training class in order to keep getting his checks. That we are okay with but they signed him up for the class tomorrow. He called and tried to change since the rest of my preop stuff is tomorrow. Well they offered him the 24th wich is the day of my surgery. John told this to the women and her answer to him was so you are telling me just because your wife is sick you feel no need to do this. John said no that is not it. She told John if you are not here in the am we are stopping your checks. John said she was really rude about it

That's so ridiculous, Kellie. He should call and ask to speak to her supervisor. All government employees aren't that crappy though. My DH will be very late getting home tonight because he's doing all this work to cover for his co-worker who has no idea what the crap she is doing. He is only 1 of 2 nursery superintendents for the state of Ky and she is the other one. Unfortunately, they grow different species so he has to rely on her work to fill part of his orders. And she is sitting around doing who knows what while he is pulling his hair out this year. And, he won't tell his main boss in Frankfort what she's doing(or not doing ). All I know is that he better be home in time for "Lost" or I'm going out to western KY to kick some slacker butt.

He is going to deal with her boss in the morning. DD Shaunna is going to be with me for the day. John just gave her a list like she was 2 on who what where and when. So of course they had an argument over nothing So I had deal with them. John is worried that he is not going to be with me and she is mad that he thinks she is 2 and does not trust her with me. I am getting mad at both of them because I am 43 and do not need a babysitter like he made it sound. Okay vent over.

Damn Kellie, when is the freaking sun gonna come out in your neighborhood - surgeries, tittyjacks, creeping crud, losing jobs, *****s in the positions that should be helping not hurting, etc. & so on....... Someone really is gonna owe you 1 heck of a rainbow when all this crap is over Your attitude is amazing and you & your family are inspiring to us - so many people let the whole world get them down and I mean the small stuff, not the major life altering things that your guys have been confronted with. I applaud your whole family and wish & pray for you guys. You randomly pop into my head with a "I wonder how their doing" daily!

Marna I know it just John got some queen B&&ch but she will be dealt with. In a way it is good thing that he is going today. He needs to chill from all this and see I can be a big girl and do this Shaunna and I can handle this.
I will pop in when I get home and let you know how I made out. But today should be a breeze. Just a bunch of test and meeting with the OR staff. This I can handle.

Oh goodness, I wasn't really taking offense. I just wanted an excuse to vent about DH's situation. He is such a nice guy that he ends up being taken advantage of and it drives me bonkers. BTW, he did not get home in time to watch "Lost" with me. We have a weekly tradition to get the kids in bed early, pour a glass of port and relax together. It's really the only show that both of us like and I hate missing out. Luckily they have been playing in a rebroadcast the next week so we'll watch it then. To make up for it though, he left super early for work today so he can take off this afternoon. I have my yearly pap/violation appt. so we are dropping the kids off at Grammie's and going to do a little Easter bunny shopping and go to The Pub. It's an English style pub with yummy beer and good food. We both joined their Pub Club so they sent us coupons for free t-shirts. They have some doozies to choose from that have their logo on the front and various sayings like "Bollocks!" and "Pi** Off" on the back. I also have a $100 bill(believe me, that's unheard of around here) that mom paid DH when he did some work for them that I've been saving. I'm hoping the Disney Store in the mall has gift cards that can be used at WDW. I guess I can get some Disney Dollars if they don't.

Sorry for babbling on. Kellie, I'll be thinking of you today even though you are 43 and perfectly capable of taking care of yourself.

I don't see any small stuff being posted on this thread, if that is what you are referring to. It has gotten pretty serious around here with one having cancer, one having a major back and disk problem, and one having surgery with an unexpected outcome.

I am glad that all the people in my life are healthy because I can't say I would be handling things very well if I knew anyone going through any of the three medical conditions posted about on this thread. All three involve quality of life issues and emotions run high when a medical unknown comes into our lives.

I hope all three families have a good outcome in their situations and, if they don't, I hope they all find the strength to live with whatever changes may be ahead for them. Being an adult can be rough some times but we all hope for the positive outcome on life's rocky road.

So the way this is going to work on the 24th I get to BWH at 6o am. At 6:15 they do a thing with the MRI machine inserting guide wires and leads (on the Right side) then I am off to the Mamo and they do the same for the left side. So I will have all these wires hanging out of me. I hope no one trys to plug me in Then I will be off to the OR for them to be able to so they can do there thing and hopfully be able to get everything out and get what they call clean margines. They say that will be about 3hours.
So John will be going nuts and driving anyone and everyone around him nuts. Sorry if TMI.

Oh yes. I had a nice chat with her boss. The boss said all she had to do was tell him to get a thing from the DR and or hospital and they could have postponed it on a hardship. The boss said she would be dealt with. John said he believes him when he said it. I guess they guys wife had breast cancer so he knows what it is like.

And, not to mention, the witch may get reprimanded! That should gave you (and John!) some satisfaction!

It never fails, whenever I call any government office- they are usually rude or just do not have a clue about anything! They are kind of like calling Disney- when you do not get the answer you want- Heck! Just call back and talk to another person!
