Madd-every time DH and I see roadkill, one of us says "Oh look how sweet. He's taking a nap." I used to work with a guy who would floor it if he was driving and saw a squirrel. He would yell out to the squirrel "I'm an agent of evolution!!" I always thought that was the funniest thing ever. I'm sure you don't agree though. BTW, he never actually "hit" any of them.

WHAAAAT! Drive faster?- those darn little things are SO indecisive- you have to come to a complete stop until they figure out what the heck they are doing!

If DH happens to see a dead deer on the side of the road before me- He will say OMG look! and point to the other side of the road to distract me He is so cute-

Sometimes it does not work- but I thank him for the effort.

All this talk about beating horses and poking badgers reminded me of somthing my mother-in-law said once.

She had a boot scraper that looked like a beaver on her deck and it had seen better days. She looked at it and said (in front of quite a few people,) "Something's been chewing on my beaver!"

It took her a few minutes to figure out why everyone was laughing.

OMG!! I think I would be peeing in my pants!! If my MIL said that I know I would hurt myself trying not to laugh.

We are home.
It was not a good day. The MRI they had me do showed that there is tomors in the right breast also. So they gave us the opition of doing one breast at a time. I have decided I will have both of them done on the same day. They plan is they will remove all the tomurs and the tissuse around them. This is they only way they will know how far it has invaded. I was told there is a good chance they will have to go back in and remove more tissue. They said this is common for them to have to keep going back in until they get an area of tissue that has no cancer in it.
We also talked about my treatment after. I will have to do treatments five days a week for at least 30 weeks.

Ouch! Just thinking about makes my b@@bs hurt for you. I am guessing you must be well endowed? There wouldn't be much tissue to take from me, they might as well take it all the first time.

I will get the call in the next couple of days with the date. They did have it all set for the 10th but the MRI results threw that for a loop. They are now have to add one more DR in on this since they are doing both sides. So we are on a wait game again. They also are not to happy that I have a fever today of 102 when we got there.

The Dr told me that two of the women who work at the MRI informed her they cried when they heard that John was reading me poems thru the MRI . She told me that if all the husbands she came across where like him her days could be brighter.

After pretty much lurking around the freebie board for several months, I finally took a sashay across to the freapschat board. A couple of questions, if I may:

1. Why the move?
2. I don't dare request a room, but could I possibly pitch a smallish tent in the backyard?
3. How long has the freapschat been running?

So sorry your news wasn't better. My heart is breaking for you and your family. My prayers are with you as you go through this. It does seem as though you have a good support system going. How many PCP's take the time to be with a patient for a MRI? Husbands that read poetry! or read for that matter, lol.

When I read about this, I too cried. It says a lot about the both of you that John did this. What an amazing person. The world would certainly be a better place with more people that loved so deeply as your husband. (can you find one of 'em for me?)

Thanks. For some reason this news slapped me hard in the face. I did lose it in the office when they told me. I told the Dr that fight breast cancer on one side is bad enough but now to find out it in both. I knew this in my gut going in today but hearing hurt me to the core. I thnik I need to get my hands on the song John played me during my MRI and lesson to it. But I need to find it.

I do need to thank you guys. You have been great. I think I would have been lost with out you.

Next thing I hear is John yelling across the store Bunny let your freaps know they sell hand warmers with fannell liners on the outside so all wow hows can be safe I thought I was going to wet myself.

It's nice to know even though we are not all physically there with you--- you can at least think of us in the stupidest situations (but what other situations do we have!) and we are with you that way!

#1 Each thread is only allowed 250 pages and then we have to start a new one.
#2 I think we still have room in the attic, crawl space, and basement. Just throw those Soy Joy bars off to the side
#3 Freap Chat has been around for probably about 9 months or so, it was born when a lurker complained about all the "chat" us regulars posted in the middle of freebies.

I cannot even imagine what you and your family are going through right now. I am mad & sad at the same time that you and so many other people are going through this. My grandmother is 2 treatments away from being done (Wed - yay!) and that was only a single lumpectomy and radiation. Remember we are here when you need a shoulder to cry on, a joke to laugh at, a funny anectdote to remind you how we all do stupid things, etc. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you and your family and let us know when the surgery finally gets scheduled.
