#1 Each thread is only allowed 250 pages and then we have to start a new one.
#2 I think we still have room in the attic, crawl space, and basement. Just throw those Soy Joy bars off to the side
#3 Freap Chat has been around for probably about 9 months or so, it was born when a lurker complained about all the "chat" us regulars posted in the middle of freebies.
Yes, our friendship thread was born out of the pain of repetitive complaints from others! :rotfl: No Drama Queen in our house. princess:

Hi All:beach:

After pretty much lurking around the freebie board for several months, I finally took a sashay across to the freapschat board. A couple of questions, if I may:

1. Why the move?
2. I don't dare request a room, but could I possibly pitch a smallish tent in the backyard?
3. How long has the freapschat been running?

Thanks alot.

LL

Welcome the the thread!

Welcome to the thread. This is a great group of people.

Kellie,

I cannot even imagine what you and your family are going through right now. I am mad & sad at the same time that you and so many other people are going through this. My grandmother is 2 treatments away from being done (Wed - yay!) and that was only a single lumpectomy and radiation. Remember we are here when you need a shoulder to cry on, a joke to laugh at, a funny anectdote to remind you how we all do stupid things, etc. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you and your family and let us know when the surgery finally gets scheduled.

Thanks. I am so glad your grandmother is 2 treatments away from being done. I can not wait to start counting down.

I tried to talk John into getting me a puppy today. He said no way. I want just a little one that stay little you know no bigger than about 10 pounds max. John seems to think my cat will have a issues with it. He loves dogs but John says as long as they do not come near me. He even chases DD Shaunna away when she come near me.

Maybe you can talk him into a celebratory puppy when this is starts to be behind you. Maybe he thinks you've got too much on your plate right now and it will just add to the chaos, esp if you are having a lot of appts to make, the poor pup will be left at home. We'll all have to sign up for puppy freebies and just start sending them to the house. Can you imagine his poor confused puppy dog look when he sees puppy freebies pouring in :rotfl: It sounds like he is in the helpless protective mode and trying to keep everything away.

First- :grouphug: . Wish your news was better. I'll be sending good thoughts your way.
Second- Your are very right about the power of little dogs. See my little friend to the left? She will gladly curl up amd keep you company all day. She has the power to carry the weight of your world in her eyeballs. Seriously, by the end of the day she can hardly keep them open, they are so full from the day! True enough, she will need to be trained, but even with an accident, Chihuahas only go a few drops...:flower3:

Kellie, I am sorry your results were not what you expected! I hope you don't mind but I'd like to ask you something kind of personal....Tell me none of your beeswax if you want, that would be ok!....I just thought that I remembered you saying in the past, long before this new re-occurance that you had encountered breast cancer and had some work of some kind on one side already... Am I confusing you with someone else? I only ask because my grandmother had one breast removed and then years later had a re-occurance, had the other breast removed, and then proceeded to live to almost 90 years of age before she passed away of completely different causes....
If it is you that I remember telling us that, I just wanted to pass that good news on to you, not just be nosey...hope you understand :goodvibes

And on a different note...I am going to bed to read because I was so psyched up for the Oprah/Tolle class tonight that I have been reading as often as I had a moment all weekend long to get ready! Then I get there and everything was going along smoothly....and then, BLAM!, I start only getting like every 20th word or so...then I lose them all together! I knew it was a possibility, but I'm dissappointed nonetheless....so I'm off to bed to finish a different book that I had set down in order to finish Tolle's before tonight....I will have to watch the class tomorrow when they have all the kinks worked out...

I did and at the time they only removed part of the left breast. I wanted it all removed but at the time do to my age the insurance company would not pay for it. If I did it Iwas going to have to pay for it. So we seem to be back to the drawering board.

Good mornin' all! I hope everyone slept well last night....especially you, Kellie.

It started snowing again yesterday and it snowed all night. Just when we all thought Spring was on its way.....things were warming up and snow was melting away. We all thought the ground hog was wrong about the extra weeks of winter....but, nope. :headache:

I am soooo ready for warmer weather....even if it is just 50! :woohoo:

 I HATE insurance companies! Money grubbing.....jerks.....ugh--

Those dumba%&es- they would have saved themselves some money- OH, and HOW ABOUT a human being from additional suffering, if they would have just approved the surgery back then! It is YOUR darn body to do with it as you please!

Oh don't get me started on this crap- sorry freaps!:grouphug:

Honestly, I would love to go anywhere to get away from this cold weather. We need the snow because this area has so many forests and it gets so dry in the summer without the snow melt coming down from the mountains in the summer.....but....ahhhhhhhhhhh!

O, great....now I see the flashing lights of a snow plow outside on one of the main roads. :sad1:

Whine, whine, whine! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank YOU! You posted the vent I was wanting to post but didn't know how to post it w/o adding ******* A*******!!!

Kellie-so sorry about the crappy news. I agree that your DH is a wonderful man. I bet he will let you have a new puppy when this ordeal is over. It will give you something to look forward to and plan.

Our weather was very warm and sunny the last few days but a cold front is moving in and we have had tons of rain overnight. We were at 70 degrees yesterday and supposed to be down in the 30's this afternoon. I really just want one BIG snowstorm to come in and drop a foot or so. Then, I will be happy. Unfortunately there still aren't any big snow events in the forcast.:sad2:

Interesting tidbit to share: DH called me yesterday and told me that we had received the insurance paperwork on the first of the surgery bills that had been submitted. The ortho surgeon had submitted a billing of over $1900.00 for his, and his assisting, fee for the surgery. The insurance company approved $750.00 for the procedure. Unless that changes, do you think that will cause some hard feelings on the part of the surgeon??

I am getting older...I would prefer NOT to alienate any doctors in the area. :guilty:

Usually there is a pro-rated charge that is less than what is submitted, so I would not be overly concerned unless they are coming to you looking for the rest. Doing medical billing for home health care we bill say $125 for a skilled nursing visit but most insurance co. pay in the vicinity of $95. These are pre-set amounts that they are going to pay. Some co. pay more while others pay less, so most places bill out the highest amount that they would receive from ANY co. and write off the difference. If he submitted 1900.00 and they are approving $750 and you are getting a bill for the difference I would check to make sure
*what your co-pay may be - some ins. cover 80/20, etc
*they aren't partially denying the claim for some stupid reason - could be it was coded wrong and usually the dr can resubmit with proper coding to get the remaining balance paid.

There are more things in medical billing as well but there are millions of possibilities. Just be willing to work with the billing department to get it resolved if a problem arises and you should be fine.
