Wait a minute...if HE had gotten "the bug" then why didn't HE vacuum the mancave, moving the cushions, moving the furniture, etc..???

It always happens that way. I've learned to go with it. He helps. He does do the moving of the big stuff and putting it back so it ends up going much quicker than if either he or I did it alone.

My thoughts exactly, mancave = manclean :thumbsup2

I like your math.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes, that math makes more sense to me too!

I hope all is okay. I do not think she has been around at all this weekend

It may be my fault. She has been introduced the addicitive world of swapping scrapbooking elements. She may be so caught up in her creativity that she has temporarily lost the memory of us.

Butchie is doing much better today. DH brought home some wound care lotion and it seems to be helping along with the apple cider and water spray. We are feeling much better about his condition this morning. He will still see the vet tomorrow just in case he needs additional meds. I am off to do some shopping talk to you all in a bit.

oh she is hooked on other things now. :rotfl2:

My DH got your spring cleaning bug and decide I should completely vacuum the basement man-cave. Like in, taking the cushions off the couch & moving them vacuuming.

I think I'm going to bed before he comes up with other ideas.

I don't mean to get involved in family matters, but there is something really wrong with this statement..

never mind, I see that numerous freaps have already pointed out the problem here...

Theresa- So glad Butchie is doing better!

Well todays cleaning bug had me cleaning my oven this morning!

Yes- I am one of those unfortunate people w/o a self-cleaning oven. Get this- the oven is only 2 years old. AFTER we got the darn thing DH said- I can't believe you did not want a self-cleaning oven!

:scared1: What!!? I totally forgot to even think about that when getting an oven- HE said he told me to get one and that I said no- I did not need one! ahhh- hello? Girls- my question to you......would any of you EVEN turn down the idea of a self cleaning oven??? No. That is what I thought. I told him I did not even hear him mention that when we were buying it! He said I did.

So- as I had my head in the oven this morning:rolleyes1 He walked upstairs and I looked at him and said- "Does THIS look like someone who did not want a self-cleaning oven?"

.......men......:sad2:

*That* is the only area I am lucky in! For some reason- DH cleans the basement- he vacuums, takes the cushions off the sofa and gets all in there- not sure why that is the only area he cleans:confused3

Nat, glad that Butchie if feeling better, and you guys are too. The vet can probably give him something to make the spots go away..is he scratching, chewing at them? Hope all goes well there.

I also got a bit of a spring cleaning bug this weekend too. I had made a joke on another thread...the boys and DH had just left for their camping trip, I had the whole house to myself...what should I do, clean it? That got quite a few laughs...mine too..then a little later I find myself tearing up the boys' closet, I am tired of the 500 t-shirts in there- you can't even move them ....pluse they wear uniforms so don't really wear them that much. So I pulled out every thing that looked the smallest..I have two large black garbage bags...full to the top. Hanger tangles everywhere..that's where I stopped. The closet is still full...:headache:

Then later that night I started eyeing my closet. I haven't worn most of these clothes in over 10 years... I quite working the day DS10 was born. Then we moved from a climate that allowed sweater/sweatshirt/turtleneck wearing 2-3 months out of the year, to a climate that would choke you if you wore a turtleneck-even in winter. So I started in on my closet, I have a pile of outdated, ugly, ill fitting dresses, jeans, tops...Now it is sitting on my bedroom floor in a hump, waiting for me to decide if I want to bother with ebaying some of it..I may give a couple of pieces a try..I have about 20 pairs of shoes that I either never wore, or only wore once. Why not, maybe I can make a few bucks for WDW...

So now the rest of the stuff I pulled out of the closet and just left (much like the hanger tangles in the boys rooms) has to go back in the closet or somewhere. then my side of the closet will be nice an neat, and DH's side (it is a two side walk in..not really big, but nice enough) will look like a pig sty. I tell ya, it felt so good to declutter my side, I am looking at his side and seeing what could go....better not, though..I may suggest it to him when he gets back, I would certainly help tote the stuff to Goodwill..

Well, I should go see what I can finish before they get home and dump all their camping gear in the middle of the living room..

TTFN......

Since y'all mentioned the absence of Tinkerbean..maybe we should start a list of missing persons..

Tinkerbean
Maggimus (she just dropped off the boards-any idea?)

I can't think right now..anyone want to add someone...?

:rotfl2: It does read really bad doesn't it. :rotfl2:

It would be if he didn't help. And he is not allowed to touch my Dyson. ;)

OMG Girl..........Write this down and tattoo it to your arm...SELF CLEANING OVEN!!!! SELF DEFROSTING FREEZER!!! ( I can laugh because when I got the little freezer I HAD TO HAVE in my garage, I didn't want-actually refused the self defrosting feature...BIG STUPID MISTAKE!!)

So- as I had my head in the oven this morning:rolleyes1 He walked upstairs and I looked at him and said- "Does THIS look like someone who did not want a self-cleaning oven?"

I would have thought you were trying to gas yourself for not getting the self cleaning oven...:rotfl:

.......men......:sad2:

they are SO helpful..

Well, I should go call DH and see what their ETA is, maybe I can get that pile outta my room..Some of it is Christmas presents for the boys, that is where I just stash stuff when I don't want to drag it up to the attic.

see yas......

:rotfl2: It does read really bad doesn't it. :rotfl2:

No it doesn't read bad, I guess it just sounded WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too familiar to me...Except in my house, it is stated (by him) as "WE need to get rid of some of this crap"....Which in my DH's language translates as..."YOU need to get rid of some of YOUR crap."

he has more crap per square inch than me, I have measured it...:rotfl:

As for vacuum cleaners, that seems to be the one thing that DH has an obsession over..Whenever he sees my vacuum cleaner (not a Dyson, but I will have one some day!), he feels it is his job to empty it and clean out the filter really good. With two dogs, and lots of dust coming in...it takes one short vacuuming job to fill the little holes and almost the whole canister, too. But if it makes him happy to do it, then have at it..

OMG- I am being lazy after cleaning the oven. I am watching the Food Network (while DH makes me a Feta cheese omlette!:cool1: ) I usually hate the Food TV- But I think I am feeling a cooking bug coming on!

Anyway- I am watching this woman, Sandra Lee, make tie-dyed cupcakes from boxed cakemix! They look so cool- they are SO me! And are so easy to make- look at them!

I don't want the dessert making bug- I think I will go with making "real food"
