FREAP CHAT Part 2 ~ Everyone Welcome to our new digs

I need a hug from my Freap friends. This morning I had to take my girl dog Stella in to the vet and have her put to sleep. She has been frail for about 3 months and Saturday her back legs just stopped working. DH had to carry her out (75 lbs.!) to pee all day Sunday, then bring her back inside. She just laid and slept and occasionally let out a wimper. I should have taken her in the ER Sunday, but I wanted to wait for our vet. When he injected her and I was crying, he started to cry, too.

I ran errands afterward to try to distract myself, got some stuff accomplished, but had to finally come home...the house seemed very empty, even though I still have two very large dogs. I am very sad...:sad1:

I am so sorry. I send you a lot of

I have been feeling really "down in the dumps" the past few days- you know the feeling- where, you have NO idea what the heck is wrong- but you just feel ....sad.....

DH just called me from work to see how I am feeling and I said- I am still sad, and to add to it- my back is hurting.

He said, well, I have some great news for you that might make you feel better (I thought is was going to involve the lottery:yay: ...but no)

He said "there are flowers coming up in the grass!" I just smiled and said to him....."YOU ARE SO FREAKING CUTE!" I am feeling so down- I almost cried just b/c he called to tell me that to make me happy!:sad1:

I think this thread is dangerous to us all- we seem to share too many of the same feelings, illnesses all at the same time- we have some kind of "freap connection"

This is for HRH- I picked some flowers from the grass to make you happy too!:flower3:

Okay you need to go find yourself a new Johnny picture. That and flowers and your hubby being the good guy he is should brighten you up to the madd we know and love.
I sorry your back is hurting. I hope your day brighter soon.:flower3:

Madd...this 1 is for you  Imagine he was a twin!

Can I share the pic with HRH (since there are 2 JDs;) )- not sure if JD makes her as happy as he makes me though:rolleyes:

OH- PS! My GYN called me a while ago to tell me I only have a tiny cyst and it is nothing to worry about. YAY!

Yay for tiny cysts!1 Finally some good news for someone here!!

oh yeah, I could handle a little JD sharing..
thank_you.gif

I'm glad it is just a little cyst. So, what do we need to do to get rid of it?

Sharing is recommended :thumbsup2

And that is great news about the cyst! I know sometimes they resolve themselves but they will want to keep an eye on it. My sister gets them to the point that she has to go in for a D&C every now and then to clean everything out.

I showed the picture to DD Shaunna and she wants one also. Some of her buddies since they are on break from school where talking about a road trip to see Johnnie making his movie. Shaunna was talking about going but said she had no bail money for jumping him and doing things to him that we all dream of:lmao: :lmao:

hrh-I am so sorry about your doggie. I lost my beagle several months ago that I had for 12 years. It still makes me sad when I think about it and we haven't been able to even think about getting another dog yet.:sad2: We'll probably get one this summer but I'm in no hurry. It does seem so strange and quiet around here without Ellie and now, we don't even know that a raccoon has gotten into the garbage until we go out on the porch the next morning and find the disaster.:scared1: Also I think about her every time I hear an ambulance or firetruck because she used to run out her doggie door and "sing" along with the siren. OOOOOOOOH-OOOOOOOOOOH-you know that bark that only a beagle can do.:lmao:

madd-glad to hear that your Dr. visit went well but sorry to hear your back is still on the fritz.

Everybody that still has the crud, get lots of rest, drink plenty fluids and hope for better days.:grouphug:

I'm so sorry for your loss:sad1: Our furbabies become part of our lives and families. I had to remind myself how much I love my dog this morning, when he woke me up at 2am barking! It was racoons outside but I was ready to choke him. Now, I'm so sleepy....

Thank you to all my Freap friends. This morning was really hard, then I sucked it in..put some makeup on (you know once the make up is on the crying must stop, don't want to have to redo anything!) and went in to school to shelve books. Got through that OK, joked around with the ladies who work there. Got my kidlets and came home. Feeling a little better. The boys asked about Stella, I reminded them what I had to do this morning. Trying to explain the process without scaring them into never going to sleep again. The next hard part will be when DH comes home..he won't want to talk about it, I just need to tell him it was OK..

Thanks again, y'all are just as sweet as southern iced tea!!
