Okay DH is freaking out. I had a mamogram today and the DR just called and wants to see both of us at 7:00 tormorrow night. He seems to think this is bad. I keep trying to calm him down but it is not working. I think it is time to start

He keeps thinking that when I had breast cancer 15 years ago. He is thinking here we go again. I keep telling him I am fine but he is freaking out.

We have been here before. I made it thru 15 years ago and I will make it thru again. I think the dr just want to get a free feel I told DH that and he found no humor in it.

Once you get that binding promise that he will foot the trip, have him PM me after you meet with the doctor tomorrow night, then knowing that all is fine, and I will help him book the trip! It will have to be WDW, of course! Keep us updated.

I dunno, I used to feel that way until I had a c-section. They were like "Ok, you shouldn't feel anything now..." and I say "ah, well I still feel stuff", they say "Oh you are feeling tugging sensations..." "No I am feeling excruciating, burning, cutting of flesh feeling". Then they decided that I actually was "feeling something".

MTB - I hope everything goes well for you. DH had tears in both of his knees repaired too...

Thanks. How long before he could do stairs safely? We have a split level home and I am going to feel like a prisoner until it is safe to do stairs without tearing anything in there. Imagine the doorbell ringing and not being able to walk down the stairs to answer the door!

I only had one C-section and I can't imagine feeling that! UGH! I wasn't too impressed with the spinal, either. The part about "don't move or you could be paralyzed" was not what I wanted to hear, nor was the "well, we're drawing blood so we have to do it again". Oh, yeah, I love surgery!

What a wimp!! I detest novacaine, and always refuse it. I would rather deal with the drilling pain than needles and numbness that never goes away!! My old dentist was an extremely kind man who hated anyone to be in any kind of pain. I used to watch his brow break out in a sweat when he worked on me sans novacaine... I finally agreed to novacaine with my last crown, and he was as happy as a clam. I didn't tell him, but I still felt it..

I LOVE that IV that sends you into LALA land. I had carpal tunner surgery on both hands and each time I had it, I fell asleep anyway. No ill effects from it, but no ill effects from anesthesia when I had it for thryoid surgery either..

mtblujeans, I hope you get better so you can have your surgery...? If that's what you want?

I am like you with the novacaine. I sit there, feeling pain, knowing that it is going to get much more painful, until I can't take it any more. Actually, having children has helped me tolerate pain....I am talking about raising them, not necessarily the birth.

I do want to get the surgery over with. He said it would be 2 months before I am completely healed and "good as new". That would be April and I would love to "good as new" long before summer.

When I sat in my dentists chair being drilled, every muscle in my behind was clenched, it was the only one they couldn't see!! I'm not saying it didn't hurt to be drilled, but it still hurts WITH novacaine to me..

Now the dentist I went to went I was a teen was great..He used the gas. I used to get so high on that stuff, I didn't care WHAT they did to me..when they would walk out of the room, I would suck it in as hard as I could..then every singel time he would come in and say, "Just floating right along..." I have been to two dentists since then, neither one used gas..it must have been discovered it was dangerous or something?

i know this is going to be a difficult waiting time til tomorrow, hope you guys can distract yourselves some until then. I think the trip planning is a wonderful idea. I feel bad for your DH, he must be feeling pretty helpless right now. <- this one is for him, if you don't mind...here's one for you

In case you hadn't noticed I love frogs. Being French Canadian (born and raised in Ottawa, didn't really speak english until I was 4yrs and didn't go to an english speaking school until high school), being called a "frog" is supposed to be "insulting". I EMBRACE my inner frog. Funny that your frog is nailing tinkerbell

Sorry so many of the Freaps are under the weather. I'm feeling pretty crummy today too with an itchy throat, cough and a fever. Add that to the icky rash that I've been calling the mange , and I am not happy. I do have something to cheer about, though , DH has come around to the idea of a WDW trip if they offer free DDP in Sept. again. WooHoo!

OMG MARNA! That is great your DH came around- and just how did you get him to do that!?

Get this- DH has been sick since Monday- started with a sore throat, he usually gets this every Jan/Feb and he WAITS to go to the doc until it finally settles in his chest and he can't stop coughing- SO- yup- it has now settled in his chest.

I was freaking out this morning- he is SO stubborn and will never go to the doc until he is so sick- but I am asking him WHY in the world are you waiting this time???- we are leaving Sat!?- I called to make an appt with the NP today- she is booked up until tomorrow morning. So I made him an appt @ 9:15am.

I call DH to tell him this, he says, well, I will try and go to the doc down the street- I said- "OOOHHHHH! NOW you want to rush to the doc RIGHT NOW THE STREET FROM YOU- that you could have went to on Monday!!!!???"

MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now- I will have to wait to hear from him to see if he ended up going and I will have to cx the appt I made for him tomorrow!

I told him be SURE to tell the doc you are going to, that this ALWAYS settles in your chest and give you something STRONG to knock this out b/c you are going on vacation! ARGHHHHHH! ARRRGHHHHH!
