I do understand the mods cautioning us about our postings regarding business sites. After all, they do not want us to be shut down or threatened for improper use. But I also know that a lot of us are eligible for the various business sites – so I think the responsibility lies with us – perhaps we should only request samples we really want and not request every single item we see.

Thank you for your support kid-at-heart. When I get an PM from Pete Werner (the DIS's owner) telling me he had gotten a threatening communication from a site that was listed on the Freebie Thread and asking me "What's this all about?", then it becomes something that I don't forget and am cautious about.

Now YOU guys don't HAVE to be cautious. It is up to you. But if the DIS gets other communications like the one mentioned, then we would have no choice than shut the Freebie Thread down. The DIS does not need to deal with that kind of "stuff" if it doesn't have to.

Has anyone else been innundated with Baby freebies. I *think* it's b/c I did Baby to Bee on SR, but I've gotten formula, diapers... Fortunately, the MamaKat has taken them to the Food Pantry, but I'm dying to know how many food pantry volunteers are going home and going "So, tell me about Heather Lastname...did she just have a kid?" MamaKat also pointed out that the mailman's probably wondering as well.

And an off the wall statistic...Did you know that there are roughly 3x as many Liquor stores as there are coffee places like DD/Starbucks. Where people will comment that there is a Dunkins on every corner, nobody really notices how many liquor stores there really are The next time you go for a drive, try to count how many there are on your regular route vs. coffee joints

MY Mission (if I choose to accept it )is to count the DD and liquor stores next time I go out- I need to find the ratio.(refer to Happy's off the wall statistic above) I am not sure if she would like me to taste test anything while on my mission!
