I thought our cats would eat anything....they act like they are starving all the time! I think we just have so many of them that they compete as to who can get to the cat dish and scarf the fastest. One day, I bought cat food at the Dollar Tree because I wasn't going to get all the way into town and they were out of food. I have never seen a whole passel of cats run to a dish of food, knocking each other over, only to sit and stare at the food in the dish!Just stopping by to say "hi"!
My kitties have been eating free cat food for the past 4 days. And it's better quality than the cheap stuff I usually buy so they sure are glad that Mommy is a freap!![]()
So, yeah, my cats are thrilled when they get freap cat food!

Didn't someone post a "you know you're a freap if..." and one of them was "your cats all have digestive problems from changing food so often"?
Yes, they will just have to deal with that "too rich bloat" that comes from occasionally eating above your means!Didn't someone post a "you know you're a freap if..." and one of them was "your cats all have digestive problems from changing food so often"?

Shame on me for being a bad mommy. Although, DH and I eat freap food and use freap items so I guess if it's good enough for us, it's good enough for them too!

We knew what we were getting into b/c we were aware of what was inside ---but to see it- UGH!
Does not seem after seeing all that gross stuff affected our appetite- we had lunch at Samosa- a vegetarian Indian buffet on Walnut Street 6.99 lunch bufett, can't beat it!!
- yes, right down the street from such 5 star restaurants as The Striped Bass, and Le Bec Fin (not sure of any of you have ever heard of these places- they are usually voted one of the top restarants in the country) but we like our Indian food!
I LOVE SAILOR JERRY STUFF!

Hey freaps!
I had to work all last week but I took off yesterday. Me, DH and my SIL took a "educational" trip to the city- Philadelphia- 20 minutes away over the bridge. We went to The Mutter Museum- was started in 1849 by College of Physicians of Philadelphia - can I tell you, it is the most disturbing museum, ever! Well, they advertise it as "Disturbingly Informative"We knew what we were getting into b/c we were aware of what was inside ---but to see it- UGH!
The Museum's collections include over 20,000 objects, including fluid-preserved anatomical and pathological specimens, medical instruments, anatomical and pathological models, items of memorabilia of famous scientists and physicians
I was pretty much some of THE most disgusting things you can ever imagine, preserved in jars, pictures etc![]()
After the museum- of course, we ate lunch!Does not seem after seeing all that gross stuff affected our appetite- we had lunch at Samosa- a vegetarian Indian buffet on Walnut Street 6.99 lunch bufett, can't beat it!!

The city is so beautiful and the weather was wonderful! I didn't want to go home. I wanted to shop some more!
I am thinking about going back for the whole Memorial day weekend, getting a nice hotel room- everyone heads down to the shore- I am heading the opposite way from the crowds- into the city!![]()
Is that the museum that has actual slices of entire human bodies that you can page through like a very large book? I saw one of these on TV and thought I was going to upchuck...
I'll never forget when I was in Girl Scouts and we visited Battle Creek Michigan, home of Kelloggs..that was a great tour, then we went to small museum of something, can't really remember, but they had preserved babies in jars of formaldahyde from inception to 9 months still born. I will NEVER EVER forget that experience...what a thing for a young girl to look at...![]()
- it was all just some crazy stuff- but, the museum would purchase all of these things from doctors for medical education. I was wondering what you have been up to...it's been awfully quiet around here..
I had to chuckle while reading your post.....a couple of weeks ago, youngest DS (16) was invited to go on a field trip to 'investigate' some cadavers for a Sports Medicine class. He isn't in the class! Someone he knows mentioned to him that they were going and asked if he would like to come along. When he showed an interest, they asked the Sports Med teacher and she approved. He got permission from his other teachers to skip their classes (it was only 1/2 day) and then he went on the field trip when the day came.
I didn't get his interest in the field trip....they were going to see cadavers that are used at the local community college for medical training....but, I am always telling him he should go into a medical field so DH and I can be taken care of in a style which is comfortable to us when we are old so I couldn't really discourage him from going.![]()
I love going to big cities to visit. I prefer living in the country so the city is not where I want to live....but I like seeing places that are different from my home town! Sounds like you had a great time!
ETA: I think the Chicago Science and Industry Museum has babies from creation to birth....or, is that the Museum of Natural History?
I was going to give it to my niece, but never got around to it. It is the freebie from State Farm from about a year ago. If you do not have it- you are more than welcome to it! You do not have to pay for me to ship it- I have tons of stamps leftover from work.
Hey everyone!
I haven't said anything on this thread in a while. However, ive been keeping up like a good freap!!
Lately ive been reading all the baby books I can-- i was wondering if anyone had any pregnancy, breastfeeding, baby books they are finished with that are collecting dust? I'd gladly pay for shipping. Dh and I are in the finishing stages of building our house (You can see it here- http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l301/maggimus/Lot/?action=view¤t=DSC02021.jpg- this photo is a few months old) and moving out of the one we have now-- and once we get settled in, our next big event is trying for a new baby.
Thanks Freaps.
Oh, he thought it was cool.....goofy kid! He said they had the skin removed and you could see all the muscles. The chest cavity was open, too, and you could see organs. He said one girl (who is in the class) freaked out and couldn't stay in the room. I told him: No doctorate for her!! I really have been pushing him to look into the field of being a doctor of something or a veterinarian but, now, it does seem a little creepy when they show an interest like this when they are still kids!Well, what did your DS think of all the cadavers...was it cool to him, or did it make him want to puke?

Do you want to play a little game...first off, I don't know the answer, but it's fun to guess.
My DSil and her family (2 adults-4 kids) left two days ago to go on a Disney Cruise. My guess is that this is the primest of prime times for cruisin'...Can you even imagine how much this is costing them??? I am sure it's for a week, and they are DVC members, so that would trim the cost a little, but what do you think the retail for a week between Christmas and New Years for a family of 6 would be??? I don't think I could even enjoy a vacation that cost me that much, but I guess DBIL makes an obscene amount of money...we are not in that league at all...
Anyone want to play?...I would guess that a trip like that with all the trimmings would run about $20-25 grand..anyone want to guess?
) I think with a more expensive to begin with Disney cruise, it would cost probably more like $10K.Hey Maggi- you have a lot going on!
The site you posted said it needs a password??

It is called "Caring for your Baby and Young Child- Birth to age 5"
Let me know!![]()

SHAYMARAYSMOM- thanks!! I appreciate you asking!
ETA: Some of you might remember my current home-- the one that caught on fire twice this year (once from a car fire and the second from fireworks on the fourth of July-- neither situation we could have controlled). So as you can see-- moving into our new home will truly be a blessing to us.
