I am having a major meltdown at the moment because my wonderful husband says to me ont he way out the door to play golf, "Why don't we spend Christmas in Disney World?" I of course say "WHAT?!!?!" He says "You've always wanted to go at Christmas, let's go!" Not wanting to to realize what he has done I readily agree and tell him it will be booked by the time he's on the 9th tee. But now i don't know where to start. I know the Christmas Party isn't available when we will be there 12/22-12/27. But what about CP. How often does it run and how do I get tickets. I am sorry for rambling but I really am freaking out about this right now. Any holiday must sees please let me know. Thanks!

If I were you, I'd do everything in my power to get the reservations! GO FOR IT!
BTW -- Although you will miss MVMCP, you'll also be able to see the Osborne Lights and some awesomely beautiful decorated trees, resorts, etc. Christmas in WDW was the most magical and beautiful time of year!

BTW - you may want to check out the DVC rental forum to see if there are any rentals available at that time.

GOOD LUCK YOU LUCKY DEVIL! ;)

Wow! If you have the chance to do, it, DO IT! :)

You don't want to miss the Osborne Lights at Disney-MGM, as well as the Candlelight Processional at Epcot (a telling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator, mass choir, and orchestra.) I haven't seen either, but I'd love to go then!

From what I've heard, it'll be busy then, but if you plan ahead you can have a great time. You might want to avoid the Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day, though-- it's crazy.:earseek:

Those are our exact dates, and we (hubby and I) will be staying at the BCV. Candlelight Processional package reservations go on sale on September 2, so, if you are interested, I would suggest you be prepared to be on the phone that day. Gary Senise is the speaker while we are there, and I've always wanted to hear him. We saw Ben Vereen last year, and he was magnificent.

Although we will miss the party this year, we will still see all the decorations, and I welcome the return of the Osborne lights.

Wishing you lots of luck on making your plans!

Are you flying or driving? Southwest has some really good times for nonstop flights from Louisville. We are flying Dec 15-23. If you are flying I would book ASAP. What a wonderful dh.:D

Do you know where you're staying yet? They don't have MVMCP during that time but everyone says that after the last MVMCP the MVMCP Parade runs everyday so you won't miss it AND all the decorations will be wonderful! Candlelight dinner packages, Osborne Lights, Fantasmic....... Aren't you thrilled! Several people here are going during that time you can do a search and read all they've investigated the past couple of months. Are you or hubby, teachers, nurses or government workers? If you are I'd call the Swan Dolphin Hotels and ask about the 149.00 rate immediately. Happy for you.

Hi...

i just say you are from Louisville.. I just wanted to drop a line from one Louisvillian to another...

How great! Have fun planning!(Don't have any advice since I've only been at Easter, but I will be anxious to see what you do as we are headed to WDW for Christmas 2005!)

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been up all night planning. Does anyone know where I can get information on the holiday tour? I saw it on here before I knew we were going and thought it sounded neat, but now I can't find the post. Any help is appreciated!

I cracked up when you said you will have it all planned by the time he is on the 9th tee:hyper:

You only need to have reservations for CP if you are doing one of the dinner packages- otherwise you can just sit down and see the show.

Resort hopping and Osbourne lights would be high up on my list.

Have a great time.

I wonder if you were to click edit on your thread and add the word Christmas to the subject line if people would know about that tour and a bunch of other stuff. I'm interested in that tour too!

I went last Christmas for the first time and LOVED it!One of my favorite things that doesn't get mentioned often is when they project snowflakes onto the castle and make it "snow" on Main Street.Best time of the year to go IMHO!If you can swing it and check in on 12/19,you will get the value rate for your entire stay!Have a great WDW Christmas!:earsboy:
