Ok I need help from all the planners out there because I going the 2nd worse week of the year, but the only one that fits my family. Here is my plan that I had 180 days out when I had to make dining reservations:

4-17 - DHS (was going to get there at rope drop 9:00 am but they pushed it to 8:00 am and since we are getting off the cruise there is no way we can make it at 8:00 am)

4-18 - MK (again was going to make rope drop but now they have EMH at 7:00 am everyday that week - ugh.)

4-19 - AK - this still looks like a good day to do AK no EMH but I could do AK Monday I guess

4-20 - EP - have lunch ADR at Le Cel and dinner at Chefs De France don't know how easily I could move that! But am thinking maybe I do this Monday now and make MK this day. Or switch MK with AK.

4-21 - DHS - this time we will make rope drop - No other EMH scheduled

4-22 - MK - I know it is Good Friday and now has 2 EMHs - ugh. But we only have 1/2 day tomorrow.

4-23 - EP - Half a day we need to be at the airport at 6:00.

Would you flip or change any of those days.

Requirements:

2 Full days at MK
1 Full day at AK
2 almost full days at DHS
1 and 2/3 days at EP

Staying Off-Site (can't use EMH) with a Car

No Park Hoppers

Thanks!

I feel for you having to adjust your plans this late in the game. Only thought that springs to mind--can you do your MK days the day after a late EMH? That should substantially cut down on the on-site guests returning to MK at 7a.m., and if you get there for 8 a.m regular rope drop, you should still have a relatively (and I do mean relatively, since it's Easter week) light early crowd.

can you do your MK days the day after a late EMH?

That is the way I scheduled the first day - monday after a late night EMH. But I was worried about the whole stay away on a Monday and when they put the early EMH I was doubly worried.

I am doing that for all the other parks. EP late night Tuesday - I will be there Wed, HS - late night Wed, I will be there Thursday.

I can't do it again with MK because I don't have a full day on Sat., and I want 2 full days at MK - so I am going Good Friday wish me luck .. lol

----------------------

The bottom line is - I can't change my plans and of all restaurants it is TONY TOWN SQUARE, that is making it so I can't move. I could move my BOMA to monday, I could move Liberty Tree to Tuesday BUT I couldn't move my TONY to Tuesday night - so it is set in stone. I couldn't move it to ANY other night (but Sat. and I will be on a plane). So I am keeping my schedule.

Thank you all for listening to my freaking out!

Considering the week you are going, I would caution you on the ability to change your TS ressies. If you really want to eat at LeCellier or Chefs De France, you're probably going to have to keep those ressies. It's highly unlikely you will be able to change those. One thing is, you may want to consider is ditching your TS ressies and try some CS instead. It will save you time in the parks.

If I were going that week, this is how I would plan it.

Sun, April 17-MK
Mon, April 18-AK
Tues, April 19-DHS
Wed, April 20-EP
Thurs, April 21-MK
Fri, April 22- EP
Sat, Apr 23-DHS

I definitely wouldn't switch your Wed EP day, I can't imagine you will be able to get reservations to those places now....but I guess you could always just.

Funny! This is very close to my family's schedule (so, thanks for the advice and reassurance!). :worship: The only difference is we are doing US on the 18th and AK on the 22nd...and we haven't made plans for the 23rd yet. That is DD's 4th birthday, and we are going to wait and see what she wants to do :lovestruc We don't usually have an urge to go to EP or DHS for 2 days, so we will see what happens...

so glad i read this post! I had my plan all set and TP site changed all the days. Don't know which way to go now. Have you decided on your plan of attack? Our requirements are
3 days MK
2 days Epcot
2 1/2 days AK
NO DHS
We have the 19th definitely planned for IOA, and AK we are splitting up

anyone want to chime in again? our dates our 14-22nd.

I think this is awesome! It was going to be unbelievably crowded anyway - but with DHS, AK and MK opening at 8 am and 7 for emh - if you can get there for RD, you're going to have some awesome mornings! Even when the park opens at 9 alot of people can't drag themselves out of bed....if you can get to 7am emh - it should be awesome!

If I knew I could only go to rope drop for MK or for DHS, I'd pick DHS. I've been to MK with a later arrival (35 minutes after rope drop) and we had low crowds for quite a while. DHS can fill up quick. Of course, other factors may come into play including the EMH schedule for that day and the night before...

Sorry, no advice, but your user ID caught my eye, so I had to pop in and say LOVE IT!!!!!!!!:lovestruc GO RAVENS!! :lovestruc

Unfortunately we are staying off site .. so no dice on the 7 am.

Thanks for the advice but I have decided not to switch things around. I don't like the idea of MK on Sunday - especially since we may not get there until 9:00 / 9:30 and then we will be spending a lot of time checking in and going to get groceries will not work for us - we are big MK fans - and want full days there. Not too mention, it is late night EMH for people staying on-site which we are not, and I think when we get back at night, people will be pouring in for the late night EMH, people who arrive on Sunday.

So I will stick with Monday MK, which worries me, but oh well. I always say - Plan / FP are more important than the days you pick - So I guess I will really be testing that theory this time!

Go Ravens! And Orioles!

I don't mind the Orioles, in fact I like them. But your Ravens are another thing. Too bad Art Modell never took a long walk off a short pier in Baltimore after he took the Browns out of Cleveland. (sorry, old wounds never heal, LOL). It's funny how a city was hurt and screwed over by an owner like Irsay when moving the Colts, received a team from another city that was screwed even bigger by it's owner in Modell and winds up in Baltimore. Oh well.... life goes on for this former season ticket holder.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I never thought I would dislike a team more than the Steelers. :rotfl2:

Ohh and on topic, I do hope you are able to work out your planning for your upcoming trip and have a wonderful time.... Even though you are a Ravens fan. :)

I talked to another Ohio fan before and this was my response:

First I would like to say "Sorry that we got a team that way". Seriously the Colts (or should I say Irsay) did the same thing to us that the Browns did to you. And as much as we didn't want a team that way - Taglibutt - forced our hands but not giving us an expansion team. Luckily you got to keep your colors, we will never get our Horseshoe back or the white and blue, but honestly I don't want it any more Indiannapolis can keep it - I love the Ravens.

We can look at it this way - We both hate the Steelers - so we have that in common! And I think you guys are growing a good young team - Peyton Hills and Colt McCoy could be stars. I think your future is looking up. Part of me would like to see the Browns do well, because maybe then the anymosity would go down a little. (Probably not - I am probably dreaming.) It's been a rough time for Cleveland sports with Lebron James, the Browns, and the Indianas. Well we have the stinky Orioles here (who I also love.)

Hopefully my infinity for the Ravens won't get in the way of our shared passion - DISNEY!

I will add that I don't agree with this:

Screwed even bigger? Irsay took the team in the middle of the night in Moving Vans. He basically snuck out of town, like the snake that he is. I am sure your feelings for Modell are just as stronger but I wouldn't say screwed bigger - I would say screwed equally. If we want to compare, no one came in to "save" Baltimore and gift us another team in 3 years. We had to fight and fight hard. We raised the money, we gave the absolute best pitch to the NFL. We were passionate and Taglibue screwed us. So maybe you were screwed by Modell, but not be the league, so I would call that bigger. But it is hard to compare wounds, but our stayed open much much longer (14 years to be exact). This town without football was awful. I'll take 3 years over 14 years any day.

Oh no it will not, that shared passion cannot be pushed away. ;)

While I can't stand the Ravens as a team, I hold no animosity toward the fans or to the city. I have been to Baltimore many times and find it to be a very beautiful area. The fans have always been a blast to be around when I have watched an Orioles or Ravens game there. (of course when the Indians or Browns are there)

I do stand to be corrected; you are right, Modell and Irsay are both maggots and are/were a disgrace to the NFL equally. Most outside of Baltimore may never know all the ins and outs of what happen, just like here in Cleveland. Modell like Irsay did his deal in secret. Modell came onto the news gloating and smiling that he had made a "secret handshake" on a tarmac at the Baltimore airport to move the Browns. And I will admit, it was very difficult watching that senile rat in Modell holding up a Superbowl trophy so soon after leaving and with a legend in Cleveland, Ozzie Newsome( don't blame him) helping to put it together.

With all that said, too bad neither Baltimore or Cleveland had a class owner like the Rooney family. As much as I can't stand that team you have to give the respect to the Rooneys, class act all the way.

Perhaps if the Browns ever win a Superbowl and Art Modell has become fertilizer somewhere in Baltimore I may not feel the way I do for that team.
:goodvibes

When they have EMH at MK planned for every morning, the normal EMH rules do not seem to apply. It was the same at Christmas. We treated the 7:00 am EMH as if it was a normal 8:00am rope drop - and it essentially was.

Cool - glad there is no bad blood. It is nice to have a friend in Cleveland :)

From now it is just "Go Disney!!!!"

That's right!! Sorry I got your thread OT :) My family lives in Pittsburgh and my BIL is a Cleveland fan (from Columbus,) so we have the AFC North covered!! NFL season gets pretty heated around here :rotfl:

Ok, back to GO DISNEY!! :cool1:

Just as long as when I'm down in Disney they do not have an Superbowl MVP parade with a Raven or that the Superbowl is not in Tampa when I'm down there. That happed to me in January 09 when the Steelers played the Cardinals in Tampa. This Browns fan was sickened to see Steeler Jerseys all over the place in Disney. I'm sure Walt would not have been happy seeing all those Steeler jerseys :lmao:

Go Disney!!!!!!!! :)

Do non-Disney Resort guests stand behind the rope until 8am while CM's let guests with Disney Resort room keys go through?
