Okay disers someone please clue me in to what is happening February 1-8???
I am reading some bands? Some dance?? Of course, we are staying at cbr. Someone tell me it's not that bad.....

Where are you reading this stuff? I just finished looking over the crowd schedules again and while the weekend Fri-Sat-Sun is a little higher than I hoped for and expected the first part of the week looks really low. I read about cheerleader competitions that start the next week.

I just checked the calendar over at allears and didn't see anything unusual for February. Where are you reading this?

Its on the February countdown under resorts. There is a national dance competition feb5&6 and someone else mentioned a marching band for spectra parade.....

The UDA National Dance Championships are at Disney February 5 - 6; followed by Twirl Mania February 18 -22.

Yes the dance girls will be there that weekend and also I know of a PA over 300 member band going to be there as well.

I wouldn't really worry about it too much as these things are always set aside and do not really impede on anything

My husband and I travel to Disney early February every year. The dance and cheer girls are ALWAYS there. Other than having to listen to their shrill screams, the crowds are not bad at all. =) We make a game out of it and see how many times we witness a CM kicking the girls out of the parks for stunting/flipping/dancing/etc.

From what I see in their brochure online this is their schedual

They have a choice of staying at the Disney All-Star Resorts or the Caribbean Beach Resort. - Sorry :sad1:

You don't hear about the same problems with them that you do with pop warner. Or at least not as many. Same with AYC (American Youth Cheer) or high school cheer. I would not worry about it.

I've been there at that time and we encountered the cheer girls. They were fine...only some of the adults were obnoxious. Mainly, you will notice them on the buses and they use the Indiana Jones stage so that is closed.

thank you for the info. KMARIE99, almost our whole trip, hopefully they will be busy with dance stuff that it wont effect us too much. But we are staying at CBR:( here is hoping for the best. I am just glad its not our first trip so we wont be crazy trying to see everything. How do you think it will affect free dining?

You will find that most of the girls are very serious about dancing. They will be spending a fair amount of their time practicing, fun for younger girls especially to watch. You will probably not want to go to Hollywood Studios on Sat. and probably Sun. if at all possible. Otherwise you won't even notice them except for the many, many girls. The dining area will be very busy during peak times, especially breakfast before they all take off. If you have a teenage son, keep an eye on him because his eyes will be too busy to pay attention to where he is walking.:cheer2:
