Freaking out, need prayers (UPDATED page 4)

So, some of you know (and can tell by my tag) that I had cancer before. Well, I had my very first mammogram last week and they just called me to tell me they want me to come back in. I realize that it can turn out to be nothing but I'm freaking out right now in a complete panic. Please pray for me. I just don't know that I can do it a second time.

I went for my first mammogram after my mom was diagnosed with breast ca. I got a call the next day to come back as they needed to do a more in depth study. They also said their next available appt was in 3 weeks!!!! After crying hysterically on the phone, I had an appointment the next day.

Many squeezes later, they said all was fine, they just wanted to check some calcifications. They also said it is not usual for them to call woman back after there very first mammo.

Hugs and prayers that they just need a better baseline picture like they did for me!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, yes I know it's common but nothing is ever typical with me. It's just that it never turns out to be NOTHING when it comes to me. I'm still shaking like a leaf.

Turns out it was just scar tissue in my case, but my films had changed because of my lumpectomy, chemo and radiation and they just wanted to be sure. I'm thinking and praying that might be the same in your case.

I'm a survivor too and the exact same thing happened with my first mammo after treatment. I also know exactly how you feel about not being able to do chemo a second time. From the posts here, it sounds like it may be common that the first mammo has to be redone. Try to stay positive; you are in my thoughts.
