I just missed my banking date. It was yesterday. I have a February 1 use year.

Just tried to call number services to get an exception and they are closed today. So I’m not sure what to do. I am so upset. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please help!!!!

I’d try calling tomorrow. They don’t have to say yes, though I’ve seen some rare cases where Member Services helped. I’ve heard people theorize that you might get one exception? They helped me ‘un-borrow’ a small amount of points once. Technically that was a final transaction. I feel like that used up my one possible exception lol. Maybe they chalked it up to me still not having much experience and made one allowance 🤷‍♀️? Much appreciated!

If you have an electronic calendar option in your life (perhaps on your phone?!), put a repeating annual reminder around Sept 1 that pops up and asks you to check if you need to bank points! It might sound silly, but once it's there, you might be glad it taps you on the shoulder every 9/1 to make sure you don't have another potential banking miss! It works for me!! Glad they helped you out.......

I do that and also keep April drilled in my head anytime the terms banking and DVC come up. April is my month to make sure everything is squared up with a May 1st deadline for Sept UY.

It's one of those things that you tend to only forget once - or at least only once in a great while. Thankfully DVC is not one of those "we've already got your money" timeshares. I have had nothing but stellar interactions with member services.

When I recently called the day after the deadline, the agent immediately said, "Oh, it's only one day. We can fix it." I think one time previously I was a few days late--maybe five days--and they acommodated me but were a little more stern.

I recently made a major point management mistake because I've been busy and distracted and lost 89 points when Septemer ended. I didn't realize the error until months after the banking deadline so I was too chagrined to even ask for an exception. Ouch!! Life happens...

I have found them to be pretty sympathetic when you mess up. They've unborrowed points for me before when I didnt know what I was doing more than once lol. Call and ask to speak to a manager right off the bat and the cast member will ask why and most likely will try to help you before transferring.

I also find that in circumstances like these it is better to call than chat in my experience. I have chatted and gotten a no before, only to call and have a manager thats actually hearing the sadness in my voice fix it lol

Oh my! I NEVER thought about banking because since 2009, I haven't left one point on the table, and I have a September UY like you. However, I always just had in my head that I have to bank by April. I must have known at one point or thought that it was May but like you, knew I had to do by April LOL
