Freaking out about DVC rental

Interesting, but the OP has never come back to this thread. In a search of their posts, it looks like the OP booked a package "through Disney" and also a package "through Dreams unlimited" the same day (3/2/09) but posted on 3/5/09 about this DVC rental. Something smells a bit like fish around here.

I must have missed something here. How do you know they booked a package through Disney and one through Dreams Unlimited? I didn't read every post so maybe I just overlooked it?

What? If you are talking about me I booked a normal room reservation through Disney and not Dream unlimited at rack rate. Am hoping someone can rent me a studio villa for less or even a few days or even 1 day to bring cost down!

As stated my reservation is costing me over $1000 more than I had and had budgeted for and found out 3 weeks before my vacation with plane tickets booked and everything!!!

A really good scam artist would just find a good name with a contract showing up on the Orange County website and say they are that person.

I want a copy of the drivers license also.

I hope you have a great time! Did you use the 7/4 deal? That can be a money saver.

For those of us who are going through the same anxiety I have enjoyed this discussion. It's eased my worries so whether or not the OP booked something else, I want all of you veterns to know your words have not fallen on deaf ears.

We are actually, any hour now, about to go through with renting points from a complete stranger. My husband has been laughing at me telling me, am I going to have to listen to you worrying for the next several months?

Yep, I guess he is!!

Anyway, wanted all of you to know your words have been helpful to those of us who are new to the process.

I just ended up getting 3 nights March 29, 30 and 31st in savannah studio today that came available!!!

A really nice lady did this for me!!!

so now we onlly need 2 more nights - april 1 and 2nd in savannah studio!

Yay I can breathe a little easier!

They are still offered but subject to availabilty, meaning they are all gone for that time period, not that AAA is not offered.
