I checked my credit card balance over the phone with Tesco yesterday and there was a transaction for over £111 with an on-line gambling company that had nothing to do with us. The result is Tesco are going to look into it and I've cancelled my card and will have to wait for a new one to come. The lady on the phone told me it's possible it's innocent and someone has keyed in one digit incorrect and that is frightening because I thought the security code on the back of cards would stop any incorrection in keying in. This is the first time I've had experience of this sort of thing although I know it's quite common - just feel better 'talking' to someone, thanks for 'listening'. p.s. Tesco were very good with their customer service.
