Day 6: The Last Full Day
Our last full day at Disney was spent half at MK, and half at Epcot. We took the boat to MK, and while John, Mary and the kids had another character breakfast at the Crystal Palace restaurant in MK, Mom,Dad, and I (Joe stayed home to sleep in) rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Railroad. We meet up with everyone (including Joe) at about 11 AM and took the monorail straight to Epcot.
We spent the first half of our visit in Future World. We pulled a Fast Pass for Test Track, rode the Energy (Dinosaur) ride and after the big kids went on TT. We took a break for lunch at the Food Pavilion. After lunch, Allen got to make chocolate chip cookies with other kids at one of the food exhibits. He was in charge of the chocolate chips! He had fun, and we had fun watching him.
We then wandered around World Showcase the rest of the afternoon. We stopped at England to pick up a gift for my grandmothers birthday next week, Morocco to hear a native music group perform, the American Pavilion to hear an a cappella group perform American folk songs, Japan to hear some traditional drummers, France for some pastry, Germany to look at fine porcelain, China to see a Chinese childrens acrobat troop, and finally our favorite stop, Mexico for dinner and margaritas. After such a long journey around the world, we headed back to the hotel for a swim and an early bedtime.
Day 7: Homeward Bound.
Our last day simply consisted of packing up, double-checking to make sure we had everything and everyone, and meeting our shuttle back to the airport. We checked in and headed to the gate with little trouble, and our flight left on time and was uneventful. After saying good by to our parents as they made their way to their connecting flight to Phoenix, my brothers and I made our own way home.
Wrap Up: Basically, it was a great trip, we all had a blast. Lines were short everywhere, we either used Fast Pass or waited no more than 20 minutes for any ride (even those we used FP for never had a wait longer than 20 except TT, we just used it to save a little standing around.) The weather was great, low 90s and humid but bearable, only rained once for an hour while we were at dinner. I cant wait to go back!
