FPP window for run disney?

Friend at work is doing Wine/Dine Half Mary in Nov. Is staying on property with park tix and booked all thru Run Disney. Has been told she cannot book FPP until check-in because she will not get tickets til then to link for FPP. This doesn't seem right. Anyone know if she is misinformed? Don't want her to be FPP shortchanged...

I don't know the answer to your question because the runDisney discounts are minimal so we have never used them. Your friend could rebook using a better discount when the trip gets closer. There will almost certainly be a better discount available, and they would not include the same limitations (if this is true).

As I understand it from then ToT 10 tread, if she booked a PACKAGE with RD, she will get tickets at checkin. If she cancels that and buys tickets and a room only RD ressie separately, she will get the tickets ahead of time (because they will not be tied to a check in package).

Somebody had the same experience in the wine and dine thread. Essentially you need two confirmation numbers. One for your room and one for your tickets. I believe you will still have to pick up the actual tickets at will call before entering the park but you should be able to make FPP reservations by entering the confirmation number for the park tickets into MDE. She said the cost was exactly the same, just two confirmation numbers.

I just called and they said that I cannot get my tickets until I arrive. Then I can link my tickets and make FP+ reservations.

That stinks. Please let me know if there's a way around this.

Did you book a package? If so - cancel the room, buy the tickets. Then add the room only ressie. Or vice versa. I thought they were still mailing them out to those not staying on property, but anyone who booked it as a package, is out of luck...
