FP+ Work Around, how to get more FP in a day thread?

I attempted KTP strategy today at DHS. Couldn't get it to work, because no other experiences available kept happening. For TSM and RnR, I could not replace. I still have 1 more left for ToT tonight, but might not go back. When it's busy, I think this will be difficult for the tier parks. Plan to test again tomorrow. Thanks for the info Kenny.

I will say yesterday I had 3 glitches FP+. They all worked to get on rides. Green light for all 6 attractions. I was surprised, didn't think they would work, but they existed in my plans, so I gave them a try. Bonus!

Well, I think people staying at POP should be encouraged to do this. :cool1:

These. ;)

If I had an upcoming vacation at Pop, I sure would try out Kenny's method of getting extra FP+s, since I couldn't get any FP-s.

It's not fair for everyone else to be eligible for FP- when Pop guests have no option to opt-out of FP+ in favor of FP-, and in fact are apparently not even notified of their "special" status.

Thanks for the feedback!

Reports like this are invaluable for folks with upcoming trips, during this time of who-knows-what-change-might-pop-up-today.

I hope Disney figures out a way to fix this ASAP. It really bugs me to think about people doing this, and intentionally cheating the system. But I guess for some people, the only important thing about a trip to Disney is getting on as many rides as possible.

I would first try the much more straightforward, simple, and above board approach of insisting at POP that I get a card that will work for FP- to put me on equal footing with people staying at the other resorts.

Several people have reported being able to do that.

I believe a cm reported that the best thing for pop guests to do was find an attraction manager in the park as they could issue those types of cards that would work with fp-, while resort cms could not. I will go find that post when I'm not on my phonr

Where have you seen that information because EVERY report I've seen on the Dis and on Twitter/FB has said that CMs at Pop saying they could not issue a KTTW card that would work to get legacy FPs? The only thing a CM reported working on here was if Pop guests complained to CMs at the legacy FP machines, they could get a FP card that would work in that park and on that day only.

I find it amusing that so many people are applauding this behavior (which is just cheating the system), but bashing those who were taking advantage of the GAC.

Use whatever excuse you want, both ways are scamming the system. What it shows is, it's not cheating if it it's something you would try on your own. Otherwise, it's disgusting behavior.

I would try them all in order. Ask at checkin, ask to talk to a manager, ask at the concierge desk, and then ask at the park if none of those work.

It was sometime last week, but someone said that POP was giving cards with FP access to guests who asked for them when they specifically brought up being upset about being treated different than all other resorts.

Maybe whoever said that was wrong.

The FP key cards are only given out at the FP machines. You need to tell a CM there that you are staying at POP and want access to the legacy system. You have to do that in every park, every day.

And prove that you are staying there and hope that the particular CM has a clue what you're talking about.

I have a similiar type email that I received 2 1/2 weeks ago when I reported it myself!

That's an awesome response. Some people are just sad they can't still be crossing guards.

What happens to a FP+ reservation that is not used by the end of the hour window? If there is availability, can you still move it up to a new time or are you stuck with not being able to use it?

Anything unused can be rescheduled or changed to a different attraction (with availabilty).

I did it last night at DHS. Worked exactly as described. Rode ST, muppets, Great Movie Ride and Voyage of the Little Mermaid all with a single FP+ . Also use the RNRC one to ride and to change to F!. Used the TOT one as is. Did the entire park in less than 3hrs.

The place was dead though which is why I could move a 4pm FP+ slot around to all those rides with in 1 hr. They were all walk ons anyway, I just wanted to see if it would actually work. I brought an iPod touch to do it on so I didn't kill my phone.

Didn't cut in front of any 4yr olds so my conscience is clear. LOL

I hate being right all the time. (That's some sarcasm I'll get scolded for no doubt!)

We've entered the period before Thanksgiving when school is out everywhere. The parks will be packed and we'll get a lot less "Great news everybody I used Magic Bands this week while no one was at the parks and THEY WORK GREAT TWO THUMBS UP!!!!" around here.

This trick will be zero sum when the parks are packed and it will be zero sum when the parks are empty. There may be a sweet spot of attendance where it's marginally beneficial to the unscrupulous user but it's probably not worth the effort to find it.
