We will be going to Walt Disney World in November, for the first time since 2011.

While I mostly understand FP+, I do have a rather dumb question. I'm sure this was answered in the unofficial official FAQ thread. I just wish it was a sticky so I could have found it easily.

Anyway, my son will be going with his band and chorus. I assume they are staying offsite (they did last time). I do not know if they are getting MagicBands.

If they don't have a MagicBands, how does FastPass+ work?

The RFID card tickets work like the MBs do for FP+ - they'll be able to scan those at the readers.

Beyond that, I'm not sure if they will be able to book FP+ in advance of their stay. That depends on whether or not you get ticket information before arriving in FL. If they are offsite, and you DO have access to ticket information to link it to an MDE account, then they'd be able to book at 30 days.

I didn't realize all tickers were now RFID. So that answers that.

I was planning on bringing up the desire to have tickets early at our trip meeting this evening.

Thanks!
