We have a weird mix of conditions to deal with when we book our FP+ for our next trip. We will have 2 kids are too short for most of the big rides (mountains, FOP, etc) so we will be doing some child swap. Our youngest is also in a wheelchair so will need wheelchair access to any rides without an accessible queue. We also will be doing most of our touring in the evening due to attending a conference. What should my FP+ strategy be? Get them for rides that my littlest in the wheelchair can't ride? We won't be using DAS. What are my odds of getting evening FP+ for FOP, 7DMT, etc in the evening at 60 days?

Thanks!

For 7DMT that really depends on when you’re going. There were still evening fastpasses for Sept 1, 3, 4, 5, and 7 for 7DMT as of yesterday, but that week is typically the single slowest week of the year.

FOP and SDD have shown no sign of having availability at exactly 60 days for any time of year, but depending how long your trip is and time of year you should be fine getting them in the evening for day 60+3 and on or at worst 60+4 and on.

You may want to post this question on the DISabilities forum. Can your DD transfer from her wheelchair to a ride? Or will she only ride attractions that are wheelchair accessible (small world, Buzz, Safari, etc.). Have you created a list of all of the rides you would like to do in each park each day? If so, listing them here may help us help you prioritize FP+. I recently traveled with a young man who was in a wheelchair and couldn't transfer and we ended up splitting up our FP+ and our group a few times. For example, when part of our group was on FOP, two of us took him to see Festival of the Lion King. I don't know if that is an option for your group or if you all want to stick together. I think, rule of thumb, if you want to get on some of the more popular rides (7DMT, FOP, etc.), yes, get FP+, but I wouldn't rule out getting FP+ for rides your DD wants to ride. There are very, very few rides that do not have wheelchair accessible ques at this point, so, if you don't have FP+ for any of the rides she wants to go on, you may be waiting in long lines with her.

Good point. So my youngest will be just shy of 2 when we travel. He can transfer (we can pick him up), but as of right now he does not sit independently so we would only transfer onto rides where he could sit on a lap. He probably won't ride anything with a height requirement this trip. I'll give my top 3-5 at each park (That I would consider FP+ for). The only park we plan on having a full day for is DHS because my oldest wants to see Star Wars and we all want to see Toy Story Land. We haven't been to WDW since that opened. Every other park will probably be anywhere from 4-6 hours in the later part of the day.

DHS:
Slinky Dog Dash
Smugglers Run
Rise of the Resistance
Toy Story Midway Mania
Mickey's Runaway Railroad

EPCOT:
Test Track
Soarin'
Frozen Ride

Magic Kingdom:
Peter Pan
Buzz Lightyear
7 Dwarf's Mine Train

Animal Kingdom:
Navi River Journey
Flight of Passage
Everest
Safari

Does that help? Many of these are things my youngest in the wheelchair cannot ride. But, a few he can. Are any of the ones he can ones that you can get a return time for wheelchair boarding without DAS? Or is that really only a DL thing since they don't have FP+?

“Wheelchair return times” are only offered because a queue is not accessible to mobility devices. DL has many more attractions using wheelchair return times because the park is that much older (I believe DCA has none). WDW only has a handful of attractions where the queue could not be made accessible, mostly at MK with 1 at Epcot. These are the attractions:
Space Mountain
Jungle Cruise
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Small World (sometimes)
Spaceship Earth (Epcot)

DHS and AK are newer and were built to ADA standards. Like DCA, all queues are accessible, therefore no wheelchair return times.

I recommend using FP+ for the rides with typically the longest waits. Use DAS when your little can/will ride. Use Rider Swap if there is a height requirement.

Enjoy your vacation!

if I remember another of your post one child does not sit without a lost of support from you, you might want to rethink Toy Story ride as it whips a lot. it was the one ride my daughter regretted taking young baby on
