FP+ with AP expiring mid-trip

I just realized that my children's annual passes expire the second day of our trip. I plan to renew them but really did not want to do it the full 60 days early. We are staying onsite so we can make FP+ 60 days in advance but you can only renew AP's 60 days in advance. Does anyone know or have a guess if I'll be able to make FP+ for our entire trip at the 60 day window or will I have to make our fast passes for the first day or two then wait a day to renew and then do the rest??? Hope this makes sense- thanks in advance!!

Just buy regular park tickets now for the kids then pay the difference to upgrade them to APs when you get there.

I have been able to make fast passes at 60 days when my annual pass expired before the trip. I have done this twice, both times I just renewed when I arrived and had no problems with the fast passes.

I thought about that but then that posed two other question... Would I still get the renewal discount or have to apply the tickets to a full priced AP? AND can I add extra tickets to an annual pass discount room package for just 4 of the 6 guests on the reservation?

You would still get the renewal discount.
