FP+, why make you get 3?!

Tomorrow will be our last park day & I have to say... I love FP+! My family was able to ride the big long wait rides like space mountain, test trak with no problem! My complains are...
Why do they make you get three? I'm a scary cat so I wouldn't ride space mountain etc... So my hubs & kids had fast passes to space mountain & splash mt then all 4 of us had FP to Peter Pan. I didn't like that I had to get 2 more FP for myself. I mean I feel like that these are FP that other people could use. I chose to get things like phillarmagic & laugh floor so as not to take a FP that someone would actually want.
Also I hate that it doesn't let me choose a FP for another park. For example if wer spending the morn at animal kingdom & want a FP to yeti & safari but then heading out to HS & would like a FP to tower of terror, I mean why can't i do that? It would be awesome if I could do that. & one more thing, wish we could do it all thru the app. Like once we use the first three, the app would work for your additional FP.
But like I said it worked out awesomely! I love FP+! just a few things I'd like to see change

Totally agree. On our 2nd day at Epcot we wanted a FP+ for TT but we had already done all the other rides the 1st day and we were going to spend the rest of the evening touring WS, meal and drinks. So we just wanted that one ride but felt bad about getting 2 more we weren't going to use so we used our 3 at MK that late morning then tried for a 4th FP+ for TT at MK . Well they didn't have one and then tried again when we got to Epcot around 1:00 and nope all out. How perfect would it have been if we had been able to have gotten 2 for MK and then 1 for Epcot. Would also have worked at HS. In fact that would be a perfect way to FP+ the tier parks as long as you have Hoppers.

Got to agree with the negatives (and positives) in the OP's post.

I suspect the reason they "force" you to get 3 FP's is in the hopes that you'll actually decide to go and experience one of those other, less impressive options.

So what if you get three and don't use them all? If you have a FP to something and you don't show up does it just clear it after the time frame? And can you get more than one FP to an attraction in your original three? I love Big Thunder Mountain and will get a FP to it but can I get a second one too? I know I'll want to go on it more than once!

After you use all your FP or the time expires on them, you may get a fourth. No, you cannot get more than 1 FP for a ride.

I thought that your 4th+ FP can repeat attractions from your first 3? You just can't get more than one FP for the same ride in your original 3 FP selections.

Oh I don't know about that, maybe someone more knowledgeable can answer that. I thought the poster meant in her original 3 FP

Like FP- the seasons will be a big impact.

Some of the "negatives" will not be present slower months.

You can get repeat attractions for the 4th etc if available-again seasons matter.

Getting TT after 1PM last summer would have been tough as well.

Not using one of your "forced" selections is exactly what someone in SB hopes you do-it is a hidden magical moment for them. Otherwise unused FP+ might be thrown back into the kiosk pool-another hidden moment.

Changes can happen as we know. Maybe they will offer reserving at 2 different parks one day. The App may take over.

Future expansion will also add more available FP+ options.

True for first 3 FPs only. Tiering restrictions also do not apply to 4th or subsequent FPs.

I agree. I wish we could use the app to book the fourth; it would be so much easier. I loved using the app for FP+ last summer, and I'm hoping that I'll feel that way again this summer. I just wish that additional FPs could be done through the app rather than waiting in line. I'm hoping I have the patience for it.

They're working on it. This is the result of one of those tweaks from a couple months ago and the app developers need some time to implement it.

If you only want one FP+, and can get that as your first one, can't you cancel the other two after doing the attraction you really wanted? Or do you have to replace those two with others if you try to cancel? I really only want one or two on my Epcot days as I only do one side of Future world per day, and couldn't care less about TT.
