Anyone who has been during this time. We will do Rope Drop and Morning EMH for popular rides like RnR Coaster, Toy Story Mania, Test Tack, & Soarin, would we still need to get FP+ ?

If you want to ride more than once or twice... it can help.

Need? No.

Would it help? Yes.

There is no advantage to not making FP+ reservations. Most of the week, the parks and crowds are manageable, but don't expect walk-ons all day for everything. If you're not doing any meet & greets, shows or night time Fireworks it makes things easier. But, if you plan on doing anything else other than rides it is a good idea to use FP+.

You can go back on that first post and edit in the correct wording.
Just click on the "Edit" button in the lower left of the box containing your first post.
Fix the wording, then click on "Save Changes" in the lower right.

(And, yes, many of us HAVE visited WDW in that time period.)

Well, unless you are park hopping - in which case I would save my FP+ for the afternoon/night park, getting an FP+ doesn't hurt anything. Both parks, Epcot and HS, are tiered so you can't get an FP+ for both rides in the same park. I would get an FP+ for the ride I am either going to hit second or the one I definitely want to do a second time. In both parks, the two rides are at opposite sides of the park, so when you go to one at rope drop, the other will have plenty of time to form a line. In this case, I think TSM will form a long line faster than RnRC and Soaring will form faster than TT. By the time you are done with the first ride and walk immediately over to the second, you could have a decent wait, so a FP+ for those rides might be worth it.

Also, TT and RnRC have a single rider line (SRL). If you do those rides second, you could use the SRL and, most likely, save time.. then use the FP+ later in the day to ride as a group, when the SRL will probably be longer for both rides. there's also the fact that if you have used your 3 FP+s early, you have a better chance of scoring a 4th (or more) during the rest of the day.

Yes, I was just there this last year during that same week. We arrived on Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving) and left the following Saturday.

We've gone during that week. A few years ago I would say you didn't need many fps, but now with the economy booming and the slow times not being so slow, I say absolutely a good idea to get your passes.

We will arrive Sat after Thanksgiving( start parks on Sun) and we do have Hopper !

Sunday is definitely and noticeably less crowded than the previous couple of days. Mine Train, Toy Story, Anna & Elsa all his high peak standby wait times but each day we also saw actual standby times as low as 10 minutes for some major attractions (including the previous three). I would most definitely make good use of the FP+ for the middle part of the day or evening. Magic Kingdom opened at 8 am every day with EMH at 7 am so if you don't want to make FP+ at MK, you can certainly arrive as early as 6:30 and do ALOT of work before most people start to arrive (assuming they alter the opening hours again).

We found that regardless of how early a park opens, it didn't really change the pattern of when people arrive. Rope droppers arrive at rope drop (whenever that is) and everyone else starts getting there between 10-12.
