FP+ Viewing for Wishes

Does anyone know if you can stay in your scooter or transfer to a wheelchair at the FP+ area for wishes. I read people sit on the grass but do they have a handicap area?

I would think they do but want to make sure before I reserve for my parents.

I had the same concerns last week while at WDW with my dad, who we rented a scooter for. There were a few scooters there, the CM had us go to the front by the bushes, perfect viewing. My husband and I sat on the grass next to my dad. Enjoy!
