Getting ready to book our FP's tonight and am wondering about the tiers at Epcot. My kids aren't interested in the Tier 1 attractions. Do I *have* to choose a tier 1 attraction or can all 3 be from Tier 2?

You can just "ignore" any FP you don't intend to USE and, later, book a "4th FP+"
for another Tier 2, if you like.

You can keep doing that the rest of the day.

Tier 2 rides (many, at least) will likely have availability all day long.

The selection process will not allow you to select more than two from second tier.

No.

You cannot select 3 attractions from Tier 2.

You can select "Up to 2" attractions from Tier 2 and "Up to 1" attraction from Tier 1. As soon as you select your "Up to 2" from Tier 2, the remainder of Tier 2 is grayed out and not select-able, even if you haven't selected a Tier 1 attraction.

To the OP, how old/tall are your kids?
Have they ever been to Epcot before?

I can't imagine any kid 40+ inches who wouldn't love one of Test Track, Soarin', or Living with the Land. My kids love all 3.

Many of the tier 2 rides have very short waits most of the time. That should help you out quite a bit.
