Hi,

I will be staying off-site for the first time :scared: and I am wondering what to expect with getting good FP+ options.

Last year we stayed on site and I had trouble getting everything we wanted even though we booked the second we could. I am nervous with only having 30 days ahead to book.

Anyone have any advice or experiences they would like to share?

Thanks!!!

Depends a little on when you're going and how busy it will be. But you shouldn't have much trouble getting what you want at 30 days, with the exception of the incredibly popular FP+ like 7DMT and Meet Anna and Elsa. And even then, with some persistence, you can often get those.

After you link your tickets to your MDE account, you can go to the FP area of your MDE and check availability for rides up to 30 days out.

It will give you an idea of what is available when you have the 30-day booking availability. You can practice booking and then Canceling as soon as you are finished.

Like you on our trip in Dec., even though I booked at 60 days at 12:01 am, I was only able to get 7DMT at 9:00pm on our 1st MK day. At 30 days you can pick the best of what is available, and then keep checking back, as people change plans all the time. After riding the 7DMT the first time that nt., we really wanted to do it again. We kept checking, and the nt. before our 2nd MK day one popped up for 3:30 pm and we were able to grab it. I also helped friends plan for a trip Christmas week that they didn't decide on till less than a month before, so even though they were staying on property, I couldn't book FP until about 20 days out. I managed to get them everything except 7DMT, and even got a TSMM on the day they were flying down.. I think 7DMT, A&E, and TSMM will be the toughest, and if you can't get them for some reason, I would go at RD and head right to those for the shortest line.

We finished booking our fast passes at 30 days out. Going in May. We did not get meet Elsa and Anna and we didn't get 7DMT. We have been checking back every day to see if Something comes available but so far nothing. We are 16 days out right now. We didn't have trouble with HS or AK at all. For MK most of our FPs were booked between 10:30-1:30

I guess it depends on when you're going. I'm going in June, also offsite and dreading the whole process. :scared:

okay.....quick question, if staying offsite how does MDE know when your arrival is 30 days out? family is staying offsite a few days and onsite for a week.......will my 30 days begin from the onsite check in? thanks.

The 30-day window keeps advancing on its own as long as you have separately linked tickets.

If you have linked your onsite reservation to MDE, when the 60-day window opens, it will also include your offsite days as long as you have the tickets linked separately to MDE - not a package.

Just had to update; just snagged a 7DMT that came out of nowhere at 16 days out. All of a sudden there is a lot of availability

Thanks for the reply! This is making me feel a bit better when my 30 days hits

I'm realizing that it might be because we are going to MK on May 3 which is one of the Early Morning Magic Hours for Fantasyland. Maybe people bought tickets for that and so they dropped late morning FPs?
