FP+ split stay room only followed by DVC stay(renting points)

I read the part of the FP+ sticky about split stay but couldn't find this example. We are deciding between renting points our whole trip next year or doing a spit stay. (room only followed by renting points) Anyone know if there will be any problems booking our FP+ if we book room only followed by renting points?

As long as the rental points reservation has all the correct names, you can book FPs for your length of Stay as long as you have separately linked tickets.

We did a DVC rental reservation preceded by a one-night room only booked through Disney a couple of years ago. Our entire trip opened up for FP booking 60 days out from the room only and we had no problems.
