FP selections kind of suck

For everywhere but MK, we really had trouble selecting 3. I thought there'd be FP's for everything but I guess not?!

The second ter at EPCOT is especially weak. Without Fastpass+ you wouldn't wait in line for any of them.

Not everything needs a FP. In fact, I've tried to decide what I'd get a FP for (I don't have a trip planned; I was just doing it for fun) and there's really only one at Epcot that I would do, and 2 at DHS.

Ok, glad it's not just us. I was surprised, I really thought there'd be a better selection.

The tiering just means we won't likely be riding Maelstrom this visit, which is too bad. And the attractions we used to ride with little to no wait will now need a FP.

When we were there in December, Living with the Land had this new queue extension I don't recall ever seeing before. And it took us about 20 minutes to make our way through it. Most of it was hidden behind a wall - had we seen the line, we would have passed. :rolleyes2

Disney is getting very tricky, making us think there's no wait, but inevitably, even with FP+, the wait ends up being longer than expected. Like the bend in the line at Peter Pan and the bridge over the Small World boats and then that LOOOOOOONG ramp.

Yeah Epcot cracks me up. I can't believe they put maelstrom in the same tier as TT and soarin. What a laugh. The good thing is the standby is a steady moving stream because nobody uses their tier one fastpass for that! Lol. Idk. Maybe later in the day when that's the only thing left for the kiosk people it might get busier. Idk. We didn't see anyone in that fastpass line though.

Same here. We don't know what to pick. It's making us realize we don't have so many must do rides so really cut down on park days. Probably not Disneys intension.

Epcot is just not a "rides" park. Plenty to do there, but some of the best stuff doesn't require waiting in line. THAT is why they tiered it....because if they only gave FP+ for the rides you're all talking about, they'd be gone on day 60.

Well, it sure isn't now.

:rotfl2:

I agree OP. The tiering choices kind of suck. My nephew even laughed at me during our last trip for having a FP for living with the land. I had to explain WHY we had it, but he continued to rib me for it the whole time.

I get why they do it (so there is at least once decent pick for everyone, instead of the late comers only having Imagination and Malestrom) but it does stink.

We were just at Epcot on 4/3...crowd levels a 4, I think. We FPP'd Soarin, Mission Space, and Nemo (just because we had three). Soarin was first FP at 10:30 (75 min standby wait). At RD, the four of us waited 15 minutes for TT, walked on SoAT, waited 10 for LwtL, waited 15 for Turtle Talk. Came back for dinner and waited 5 for Maelstrom at 8pm.

As an aside, we walked in with basically no wait to see many of the characters around Epcot. No one was in line at all to see Pooh and Tigger. Longest waits were princesses but even that wasn't long (except A&E, of course).

I found that posted wait times were longer than it actually took to get through all lines in all the parks and others we talked to felt the same. Guess they are trying to under promise and over-deliver ;-)
