FP+ selections are gone - AWESOME!!!

(One nice young man told me "those didn't mean anything, I could've PhotoShopped them." :rotfl2: Well yeah, I could've...so could my 8 year old grandson....:rolleyes: We were there the week before Memorial Day and when things did not work some CM's tended to tell us it was our fault, and said some strange things including telling me I was using someone else's ticket. My drivers license proved it was my ticket. Well maybe some of it it was our fault but they could at least acknowledge it is their fault too and acknowledge the problems they are having with my magic +. if I have a ticket for a theme park why can't I just enter and enjoy myself like we did two years ago.
 
I enjoyed myself immensely just a year ago, not even 2 yrs ago, in 2 separate trips, where I could hop all 4 parks and ride single rider and multiples...

This year, we had base days, and the clock constantly was running out, the single rider line was shut down because it was 'too busy', and there was no prayer of a chance of riding anything (except maybe Nemo at the Living Seas and Mission Space) twice...

They have taken our parks hostage! :rotfl:

Someone remind me how this is so much easier than paper FP again...

lol...last time we went was 5-6 years ago and are heading for a quick weekend trip while visiting our DD over Labor Day. My head is aching at how much more planning and time sucking this is taking..and for just 2-3 days! To make matters worse we will be 1 night on-site since we arrive a day before our condo check-in, then off-site and "linking" with an off-site AP holder (so even tho WE can book FP at 60 days out, DD can't) so we will adjust our selections trying to all be together at 30 days out I guess?:confused3 After 15 years of trips we were finally at the point of being able to navigate a short trip with success but noooooooo, WDW decided we were getting too big for our britches and promptly knocked me back to newbie status. :rolleyes1 Honestly, I think I need a program like Rosetta Stone for this new language and communication process lol. I also feel so much older trying to plan this out than ever before. Time for me to just park it on a bench and watch others navigate their way thru the World.:goodvibes

Well you see, the way it was explained to me is, you don't have to walk from 1 side of the park to the other to get FP's. With FP+, after you have used your FP for Space Mountain, you will fall into a worm-hole and transported directly over to Splash Mountain, therefore saving you from walking.
 
2/3 of our first day FP's have disappeared - twice - and still don't show up on the app or on-line (one being Anna & Elsa). First time - IT said they fixed it. Said to wait a few hours and they would show up. Still nothing. Called again - IT put a supervisor on. Told us it shows on their end and gave us "their word" that there would be no issue. If we get into the meet and greet line for Anna & Elsa and it shows no FP, tell that to my 8 year old daughter. No going back now, but I think I'm really going to the miss paper FP.
 
Unfortunately, the only people who would lack the technological skill to photoshop a FP reservation would be Disney's IT staff.
 
Just returned last week. We had done a Christmas holiday trip before the complete roll out. Wasn't a fan. Even worse this time. Did so much less (rides) than on previous trips. Stand-by lines were ridiculous. 45 min., HM, 50 min., JC, just to name a couple. These times were happening in the mornings, not peak afternoon hours. Lines for the kiosks were terrible as well. Only got one rolling fourth FP in the 11 days were there, and it was for HM. All headliners were gone.

I have read along (although not posted) on all the FP+ discussions, waiting to see what this trip would be like. No way I can convince DH to go back for a while. Very sad. Did not renew our AP's. Next year will be our first trip to Universal.
 
Given this thread I decided to go in to make sure my selections were still there for our July trip. Lo and behold, my entire account has disappeared. At first I thought one of the kids must have changed the pw by accident so tried the forgot password route. Nope, no account with that email address exists. :confused3 :dance3:

UOR is super fun especially if you stay onsite. Feels like a vacation ;)

Yup, just checked this morning when I read they changed the tiering at Epcot, and all of the selections we made a few weeks back - POOF!

Whatever. Not gonna worry about it and not gonna spend the time at this point trying to make the reservations all over again. And I sure as hell don't have the patience to deal with Disney's tech support depafrtment or standing in line at Guest Relations throughout the day. Though we can't do anything about our hotel reservations, we can do something about our park hoppers. We're going to reduce the number of days, rent a car, and do other things in the area that don't require this much work. I want to enjoy this vacation, and leaving that up to Disney and the stresses they're causing us, that's a lousy bet.

We lost all ours too, but I was able to reschedule them (we aren't there until 7/13). If you are looking for something else to do, I recommend Universal and staying at one of the Loews hotels. Unlimited express pass is included and you don't have to bother with scheduling anything. Just show up and have them scan your card, and go right into the express queue. Ride whatever you want, whenever you want, how many times you want. Except for WWOHP and a kiddie ride. Plus, Loews knows how to run a hotel, unlike WDW and their deluxe resorts are fantastic, compared to WDW.

If the people who maintained the rides at Disney were as bad as the IT staff I would never walk through the gates!

Well, some lesser ones were probably there, but the lines were so long most of the time, it was just wasn't worth the wait to find out!

We are planning on staying onsite when we go to Universal, I like that "vacation" idea. :thumbsup2

Have you called them yet? Same thing happened to us back in Jan. Went to check our FP and ADR's for Feb. trip - no MDE account w/password exists! I was shocked (and freaking out) as we've had the same email and same password for a few years now. I called, expecting a huge issue, but they fixed it quickly.

I know it's a huge pain and I know it doesn't mean it'll be an easy fix for you......but I hope it is:headache:

You know I'm sure I read somewhere that the Disney higher ups were happy that 40% or so more people were using fast pass now than before. Which raises interesting points. 1) you spent all this money and only got a 40% increase in usage! and 2) all this chaos is with only 40% more people using it?

OT, I'm sorry op. Enjoy the trip as it is. Think of it as a free trip since it's done and can't be changed, maybe that might help :P
