On average, are the times that people are scheduling for FP+ pretty close to the time that they are getting on the ride? We're wondering how much wait time to build into the schedule between activities. Thanks!

I don't understand the question. FP return windows are an hour long. It generally takes no more than 10-15 minutes to board via the FP queue, and often much less.

I think I understand the question. It's basically asking how long (time-wise) it takes to get from the entrance to FP+ until you're on the ride. So if you have a 2:00 FP+ and you get there right at 2 how long does it take until you're finished?

I just got back from MLK week and I can answer the question pretty well for you.

The FP+ lines are WAY LONGER than the old FP- lines (both in time and distance). We did the Rapunzel M&G and we entered the FP+ line at 2:00 and we met Rapunzel at 2:35. So it took 35 minutes from entering the line until we had the experience. This was excessive but not that out of the ordinary. I found that in the past I'd enter the FP queue outside the ride and be on the ride in about 5 minutes. Last week it was more like 10-15 minutes on average.

Here are some other examples:

Space Mountain: now has a line about 100 feet long extending from the Mickey readers at the the FP+ entrance to the end of the FP line. So you get into line 100 feet away from the FP+ entrance. There are videos on Youtube of this line.

Thunder Mountain: there is a new queue to hold FP+ people before they get to the Mickey scanner. The queue isn't that long, maybe 25 people or so.

Cinderella: the FP+ line was always out the door. Once you get in the door there's still probably 50 feet until you get to the front of the queue. So you're looking at 60-70 feet of people waiting (and if a person takes 2 feet you will see about 30 people in front of you in the FP+ queue).

Peter Pan: has an extended queue outside the ride to accommodate the FP+ line prior to getting to the Mickey Scanner.

In the many times I went to WDW I never saw a FP line that was so long it needed it's own queue outside the ride entrance. The only time I saw long FP- lines were when Space Mountain broke down and everybody would come back with their FPs once it was up and running again.

Now FP+ lines that extend outside the ride queue are a certainty. In addition the regular lines were also much longer. This past week I saw very long lines (long as in length, not necessarily wait times) at IASW, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Carribbean. These three rides had lines much longer than anything I've ever seen and I've been in July 3 times.

This is EXACTLY what I was asking. Thank you for restating it so much more eloquently than I did! I appreciate all of the examples you provided. This information will be very helpful in planning. Thank you! :goodvibes
