This is our first trip to WDW so I have a pretty basic question please: Do you need your parkhopper passes to get on the rides or just to get in the park? The reason for the question is I was thinking it would save us time if when DH and DS were lined up for a ride, ie Dumbo, I could take all the passes and get FPs for another ride, ie Winnie the Pooh. Can this be done or does each person have to hold onto their own ticket. Thanks in advance for any help. :earsgirl:

You only need to use the passes to get into the park. It is a good strategy for one person to take them all and get Fastpasses for everyone.

Your pass is just to get you in the park. You don't have to have it to ride on the rides. You can use your pass to get a fast pass for the more popular rides. What you do is if the ride offers a fast pass, you put your pass in the machine, it will print a ticket with a time on it to return, then you don't have to wait in the sometimes long lines. You will get your pass back after the ticket prints. I hope that made since. :cool1:
Have Fun!!

You need the park passes to get into the park and to get FPs. One person can handle the FPs while the remaining family members could wait on line for another attraction.

Dont be like me though....Remember to get your Ticket out of the fastpass machine. I got our fast passes last year, but left my sons ticket in the machine. Luckily it wasnt mine or my wifes with Credit Card authorization on it. Quickly called guest services and they had one waiting for me. Moral of the story...Always get your ticket and fast passes....
