FP+ Question for October 31

My DH and I are planning on going to MK on Halloween but not attending the party. Plans are to be at RD, then hopping to Epcot for a F&W lunch, then back to MK for dinner at BOG before leaving at 7:00. My question is about FPs. We would love to ride Soarin' while at Epcot, but also want to do Haunted Mansion closer to dark at MK. So should I book my FPs for the morning at MK, then try to get Soarin' FPs for early afternoon, then HM FPs for early evening? Will that be possible?

I don't think you'll have much luck riding HM closer to dark and eat at Be Our Guest. If you don't have a party ticket you can't book past 6:15 and sunset in October is going to be around 6:30.

With that said I would FP Soarin at Epcot and then when you hop back to MK go to the FP kiosk and it should let you try and pick up HM. The problem is for HM on Halloween it very well may be booked up. That much hoping on a short operation day seems like a lot. Why not FP HM at MK and stay there until party time then hop over to Epcot and just standby Soarin?

We plan to eat at BOG around 4:00. I was hoping it might be possible to get a HM FP sometime between 5:00 and 7:00. Is there a reason I would have to go to a kiosk to book the FP? I planned on using my phone at Epcot to book it. If it's unlikely to get a FP for HM during those times, I may just try to ride it earlier.

My original plan was to sleep in, go to Epcot for F&W, then hop to MK. We are DVC and go often, so we prefer relaxing trips into the parks rather than trying to do it all. With that said, I am adding RD at MK because I'm not sure that will be enough time for us there. It's the only day we are going to MK while there. We really want to do BOG for dinner, but MUST do F&W, which is why we are hopping to Epcot. We don't mind the relaxing monorail ride, and we will probably relax in the DVC lounge after eating before heading back to MK. After we leave before the party, we are headed to TOWL to watch HalloWishes.

Based on past experience at MNSSHP, it will be nearly impossible to acquire a FP for HM on Halloween as a 4th..or 5th FP of the day. HM is VERY popular, as you might imagine on Halloween, so those Fps go fast (like at a person's 60 day window). Trying to get it on the day of Halloween...nothing's impossible at Disney, but ....almost impossible. I would suggest just riding earlier in the day rather than try to ride without a FP at night. You have a better shot at 4th FP-ing (I just made Fast Pass a verb!) Soarin'. Best of luck to you!

This is good to know. Exactly what I needed. I'll just plan on making it one of my FPs for the morning just to guarantee riding it. I'll try to get Soarin' after I've used my first three. Then when I get back to MK around 2, I'll check out HM and see what the wait time is to maybe ride it again.
