I beg you...don't take the bait.
You're right. I am done.
Thanks for the reminder.

...If people can't prebook the choice FPs (especially the onsiters more than 45 days out), Disney risks cancellations of trips as well as complaints...
Good call. I'm out too.
...To Disney's credit (or ignorance?), they didn't narrow the FP+ reservation window for on-siters to 45 days (after the point they could not cancel their trip without penalty) ...
As if! Bet you a Dole Whip we hear from you again in this thread. Even if you don't post, you'll be looking. You know it!You're right. I am done.
Hold the door, I'm right behind you.
I am also going in mid December and had no problem getting rides and attraction I needed and for days and times that worked with my plans, in about 20 minutes on the system. So experience will vary greatly among users, both positive and negative. I do not think that any one experience is illustrative and reflective of thousands of users each day.
hold it coming through
+1Right, I should have said that OBJECTIVELY and ABSOLUTELY it is no better or worse. That's not to say that people won't have opinions! Such as yours, as you say FOR YOU it's not a great idea. Fair enough. But again, my point was, that WHENEVER there is any kind of change there are those for whom it works and those for whom it doesn't but for the vast majority - and I truly believe this - if they would just open their minds and be a little less upset about *change* it would all come out in the wash. And that is *my* opinion!![]()
loli've been assured that if i just think positive thoughts, all that is the wonder of fp+ will open up before me.
First of all, I'm not talking about Disney's overall financial reports. I'm also not speaking about 7DMT.
I'm talking about theme park attendance. I believe there are a lot of people who read reviews prior to planning a vacation. If they read about the FP+ system being difficult to navigate, the long lines despite having FP reservations, and an overall not so hot vacation, it may turn people away.
I realize November and December are booked. I'm talking about next year's vacations.
True..unfortunately the second you add tickets to it (and magic express?) your done..and its a package with package cancellation rules....including a fee for upgrading your resort when it becomes available 44 days out..yeah they stopped waving that on upgrades it seems (anyone had luck with that?)Just as an aside- that penalty only applies to packages. Room only reservations can cancel up up to 5 days before check-in with no penalty. It's been years since we did a package- outside of the evil free dining offers with a value resort, it's rarely a better deal.
Pardon the interruption....

Anyway there are some decent things you get for making it a package IMO - free entry to Disney Quest for example
One of the best things Disney had done is magic express (see I can say something positive about Disney) - do you need to have a package for that or can it be room only?
We're long time annual visitors (at least once a year) with annual passes (this year anyway). For the first time, we're seriously considering reevaluating our travel choices (past an already booked Feb trip). I hope the Disney execs have someone taking the pulse of user forums like this one.
