FP+ on rented points?

We have rented points (through David's) at OKW for a 7 night trip in Feb. Will we be eligible/offered Magic Bands even though we didn't book through Disney or through a TA? This is my first using rental points since Mbands have been active, so I have no clue....can anyone help? Thank you!

Just enter the reservation number into your account on MDE. Then when you buy tickets, you'll link those to the account as well. With a resort reservation,you'll be eligible for a MagicBand. Having valid tickets will make you eligible for FP+.

OP here! So, I was thinking I was going to wait to buy park tickets at the resort when we arrive. I guess I should buy them sooner, then? If I wait until we are there, it will be too late for MBands? Or can they issue them on the spot? I want to try to arrange for some FPasses, too.

All DVC resorts are included in FP+.

If you are a renter you can get the confirmation number from the member and enter it into your My Disney Experience. You would then be eligible to order Magic Bands. I assume you can ask it to send you the bands, and not the member.

Whether you have magic bands or not, you cannot book FP+ experiences until you have linked a ticket. If you wait until you arrive to buy tickets, you won't be able to book them until then. That has nothing to do with when you get your bands though. Even if you have bands, you still have to link tickets to MDX to be eligible for FP+ bookings.

If you want to pre-book FP+, you will need to buy tickets now and link them in MDE.

Otherwise, you will have to wait to book all your FP+ until you get there.

We rented point thru David for our split stay honeymoon too also at OKW, we bought tickets thru his work, we linked the tickets and have MagicBands on order and you can put in the shipping address it pulled the one linked for you DME, booked FP+ on the 60 mark.
It won't effect your trip.

We stayed at VWL in October on rented points. Linked our UT tickets to our MBs and made FP+ reservations in advance.

Ditto x 2! We are renting from David's as well. We check in to AKV Kidani tomorrow! We have MBs in hand and FP+ were made for each day in the parks.

As others have stated, you need the reservation number entered in MDE, which David's should have provided, in order to get MBs. If you want to book FP+ before arrival, you need to buy passes and link them to MDE. We used Undercover Tourist and the Mousesavers discount for our passes. Happy so far!

We have points rented for January and I bought the tickets from undercover tourist and linked them to the reservation number the owner of the DVC reservation gave me. Magic bands have been customized and FP+ reservations have been made.

We rented points through RCI for BWV and just called BWV front desk- they gave us our confirmation #. I entered it into MDE and was able to check in at 60 days and customize MBs, etc

Great, thanks for all the good info. Glad I asked, looks like I'll be buying tickets earlier than anticipated. For those of you who used UT for tickets...any trouble? Good experience? Did it save you a good bit of money?
