FP+ offsite question

We are staying onsite on 8/12, but are going to AK on 8/10. The MDE shows that there are no FP available for Flight of Passage on 8/11 for onsite guests (we can book FP for 8/11). Does Disney reserve some FP for offsite guests, but if they are gone for onsite, are they gone for everyone?

Disney does not hold anything for off-site guests or day of. You should be able to book 8/10 because everything prior to your check in day as well as length of stay opens at your 60 days.

That's weird that you can do 8/11 if your onsite doesn't start until 8/12 but not 8/10.

It's because they are within the 60 day window for onsite, but not within the 30 day window for offsite.

Did they close the loop hole though. The system use to just fully open a 60 day period so if their on site reservation doesn't start until August 12th but they are seeing and can book August 11th then they should be able to book August 10th as well since August 11th wouldn't be with in the 30 day period either since 30 days from today is August 4th. So the fact the 11th is also outside their on site reservation is what was throwing me off.

They probably have a package and there is a glitch allowing them to book for 8/11. If the OP has separately linked tickets, there would be an open 30-day window that would expand at 60 days out from check-in date.

Ah I've only ever done room only and tickets separate so didn't realize that package holders can't book any days in the 60 day.

OP here. I don't have a package--I already have my tickets (old no expire ones) and booked room only. I was told (b/c I'm staying offsite for the first few days of my trip) that I could make FP ressies for one day b/f check in. I'm just bummed b/c all of the FOP FPs are already gone for 8/11. My sister (who I am staying offsite w/ for a few days) wants to go 8/10, but I'm guessing when HER 30 day offsite window opens, there won't be any left, seeing as I can't get them for 8/11.

You can book FPs for your sister by including her when you book your FPs.

If your 60-day window is open, it includes all 60 days leading up to your stay plus your length of stay.
