We're sorry, your previously confirmed FastPass+ selection for Voyage of The Little Mermaid from 3:20 PM to 3:35 PM on 08/24/2014 is no longer available due to an unexpected change in the operating schedule.

As a replacement, you may now visit any one of the following FastPass+ experiences on 08/24/2014, anytime after 9:00 AM through end of day. (Valid Theme Park admission is required and your FastPass+ selection can only be redeemed during normal Theme Park operating hours excluding Extra Magic Hours):

be warned... we got one of these 2 weeks ago while in park. It was a different park though and we decided to save it for splash mountain. We already had a splash mountian fast pass for 1pm we thought we would use this one after dinner. But instead of the system using our 1pm fast pass at 1 pm it used the "any time" fast pass then and so we lost our "floating any time fast pass for splash mountain" and didn't use the 1pm one since we thought we already used it. When we came back later in the day of course the 1pm one had expired and we had "used" the any time one.

Lol I pretty know what it's about. We were in the last show last night and there was a malfunction with the part that pulls the fins off of Ariel at the end. Since my wife and I have both been performers we were chuckling because we've seen some good opening night mishaps ourselves. But basically at the part when the machine was supposed to rip her fins off, there was a loud pop and nothing happened. She just kind of sat up there holding on and the curtains came across so you didn't see the end sequence. We were joking that other people that were seeing it for the first time would be like, "That's not how it's supposed to end! She's still a mermaid!!"

This happened to me at HS for a minnie meet and greet. After we used our other fastpasses at HS we hopped to MK that night and used it there. No problems but we had already used our other fp selections before using that one. Also Had no problem using kiosk after for additional fastpasses for the night. Im wondering if this is a HS problem since it happened to me there as well.....

i would have gone right to GS with the email. I'm sure they would have then care of it...maybe even if you showed it to the CM at the ride...

I would assume the attraction is closed until they fix the costume ripping machine. But maybe that's not the reason for the OP email at all - just speculating. If someone is over there today they can probably report back if the ride is completely closed or not.

I would definitely take a copy of email with me-nothing is left to chance!!

I'm off to investigate if we've received any notification type messages from wdw either.
Can't recall off the top of my head when,but we have a votlm fp+ booked for August also.

Op-August 24th is our departure day-but hoping to drop by dhs as we leave.

Since VotLM is listed in the available attractions in the email, it is probably just a show schedule change.

Aug 24th is a a long way out to be getting a FP cancellation due to the malfunction at yesterday's show. I think that is probably a coincidence. This to me seems more like a change in show schedule, at minimum or a refurb or even a closing, at most.

We're going the week of Aug. 24th, and I really hope that this attraction is open. It was closed in 2011 when we went with my mom and my niece, and it's all my mom talks about seeing. She loves it and really wants my niece to see it this summer. I've promised her it will be open.

We got a similar email last August when we were testing the bands. TSMM went down while we were in the FP line, and we were able to use a FP+ at any other attraction throughout the day. It's one of the few things that I liked about FP+ because I felt that my FP wasn't wasted. DH was thrilled because he got another ride on RnRC that day.

Since I have an AP and can make FP+ for the next 30 days, I went on to see if I could get VOTLM FP+ for this Sunday and I could. I selected it and 2 other attractions and it gave me the A, B, C and D time choices. I didn't actually go farther and select a set to book...but it gave me several times for Sunday.

Quick question...are you meant to receive a confirmation email after you make your FP+ requests, or not? Do you only get an email if the FP time is suddenly unavailable?

I don't think this is the reason they are cancelling FPs and/or changing showtimes... Ive seen this happen once or twice before...

I have a FP+ time for VOTLM on August 16 at 11:25 and I didn't receive any email notification but I will keep watching my email. I am going to guess that they switched the show times? This post gives me a heads up in case our FP+ gets canceled....thanks OP!!
