FP not able to get :(

For those who met Anna and Elsa near closing time to avoid the wait, how was your experience? Did you feel rushed? Was there a decrease in quality of the meet/conversation, so to speak, Anna wasn't as energized, perhaps?

No. It's pretty much luck of the draw any time you meet a character.

Just go late at night...is the stand by line really that long in Sept? Might not be bad at all....

I just got 3 for the 19th. But it is not at a good time for us. What are the odds that I can change it to a different time?

Based on my experience the last few days, you have a pretty good chance of finding them at a better time one by one and then trying to get them to overlap. I have had good success moving 3 to a better time (that overlaps with 3 other I had) over the last few days. Now I just need one more to overlap at 1:10! Though I think my FIL will happily do anything else than go meet princesses...

Just curious- What do those of you do who won't use standby for A&E do about meet and greets that don't even offer a FP+? Some of those lines are just as bad as A&E. Do you just skip them? Have you always skipped meet n greets before FP+ was available?

Personally, we don't wait in lines over 20-30 minutes for ANYTHING just isn't worth it with our kids until they are older.

It may be more work, but if you cannot get FP+ for your whole party, try to book one FP+ at a time with overlapping times.

I just had to make last minute changes to my August date at MK, and was able to book FP+ for four people for 7DMT even though it had the "FP+ distribution is done for this day" message.

I don't for attractions, but we rarely run into a situation where we have to choose on that. Some of the m&g's that my grandson wants the most, have no other option but standby. He's 3, loves any m&g , so for him I will. Many of them have really long waits, but I figure for what it costs to be there, we're not skipping things that make such great memories because we have to stand in a line.

It's a shame that Disney doesn't do something about this. How hard is it to add a couple more A&E's to the rotation? No little one should have to be disappointed due to something that could be so easily remedied. With all the revenue that A&E generate, they can pay 2 more ladies to dress up! I have no idea how large the area is where A&E meet their guests but I have to assume there is some way to cut it in half and double the capacity with the strategic use of curtains and temporary walls. I know it would probably take 4 years to get the temporary curtains finished after the big announcement...

i would not SB A&E but i've done SB for many other characters and i've never waited more than 30 minutes and that was really the longest wait.
at the moment A&E is about a 2 hour wait.
i don't even care if i ever meet them. i only made FP+ for them because i was making my sister's FP+.

I know we've been doing the Buzz n Woody m&g for the past 3 trips and have never seen the standby less than 45 minutes- and that's checking the park several times over the course of our vacations. Since we know the general times for other meets that are done outside near rides, we've often waited that long for others as well simply because we didn't want to have to back track to that area of the park again and then stand in a long line. I know that the wait for Gaston can be quite long, although we usually skip him due to the line and him not being at the top of the list.

My point being, A&E is far from the only m&g that has lengthy standby lines. It would seem the problem is they offer a FP+ because those with no fp+ don't seem to be a source of complaints about lines and I find that strange.

Elsa and anna waits are usually longer than any others and have been since they started you can say different but that's wrong

i've met gaston 3 times now and each time waited no more than 15 minutes.
i don't call that long.
same went for tianna and jasmine and aladdin at MK.
no more than 15 minutes.
most character meet n greets at epcot don't have FP+ and i waited for alice and belle and again both no more than 15 minutes.
i don't care about buzz and woody so i can't speak to that line.
the 30 minutes wait was for mickey and that was back in the toontown days.
my point is A&E is 5 times as long as the characters i waited in SB for. i don't call 15 minutes long but i do call 2 hours long. i would not stand in a line for any attraction for 2 hours so i would definitely not even consider it for something i don't care about so no FP+ for A&E=not meeting them.

Not in my experience. There are several that rival the waits of A&E- in my experience during multiple visits to both parks over a period of 8 days in June.

That kind of wait was in the very beginning- I don't believe the waits get close to that anymore. During our trip, we never saw the wait time exceed 45 minutes.
